Skystar watched his mate stand near the rock where the deputies and Medicine Cats were supposed to stand. The gathering area was set up to let the other cats know that these cats were important. He looked just quckly enough to see the twisted look of uncomfort. Was she okay? Skystar thrashed his tail back and forth as the other clans started to come in. He wanted to start the gathering and get it over as quickly as he could but that wouldn't be right. Instead he stood still. He wasn't much of a cat to socialize. As long as cats knew he was ThunderClans leader that's all he wanted.
Chestnutflame let out a mrroow of laughter. The Auburn colored tom nudged the sleepy deputy and let out a warm purr. His golden hues bounced with amusement. The tom twitched his whiskers and made that tsk tsk tsk sound as if he were scolding a kit."Why not go socialize Kobrafang. You can learn a lot from the other clans that way. Heck you can learn a lot just by looking around instead of acting all sleepy." Chestnutflame mewed. The younger warrior looked around and pointed out a few things."By looking at Skystars stance and how impatient he looks you can tell ThunderClan has a large secret. RiverClan looks rather upset by their stance so i'm guessing they must have lost someone important. ShadowClan looks rather confident tonight. Perhaps someone was just promoted to a new rank. If for some reason we wanted to start a war we would know that RiverClan and ThunderClan would be the best choice. ShadowCLan is over confident so we would want to stay away from them. See what I mean?" He gazed at all the clans before sitting next to the warrior giving the tom a curt nod.

Heathershine sat quietly watch the other cats speak to each other. She had overheard what Chestnutflame had said to the deputy. The WindClan medicine cat a agreed something strange was happening, though she wasn't sure what exactly. The tortoiseshell thought she should join in the conversation somewhere, but she was unsure where to start. Heathershine stood up and walked over to where Frostbite was. "Hello Frostbite. How have you been?" The young cat asked quietly. Talking was not her strong point.

The young tom had fallen in behind his mentor, Frostbite. He hadn't attended many gatherings before this and wasn't too comfortable while at them. At a trotting pace Sagepaw pushed himself through the other clans to where the medicine cats, their apprentices and deputies sat. Letting out a deep breathe, he sat with straight posture, knowing that he once the gathering started he would be under where the attention of all cats would be. The little black and white tom thought about what would be announced by each clan leader, or deputy. The deputy thought came to mind when he could only identify Kobrafang and not Fallingstar. Graystar was nowhere to be seen, and Sparrowflight stood at the head of his clan. Skystar stood with ThunderClan still. Vipermoon, had taken over for Maplestar, or now know as Slash, clans were changing quickly. Most of the clans had a serect or situation that they had on their plates. Sagepaw shook his head and tried to dislodge the evil thoughts that filled his head. The loud meows filled the area of which the gathering took place. Sagepaw had made a desicion that he wouldn't make the trip to the gathering next moon, to much drama filled the clans. |

Frostbite turned to see who said her name and it was heathershine of Windclan. She forced herself up to a sitting position hoping to blink away the pain in her eyes. "Heathershine, greetings. i'm doing very well, how about yourself? Is all well in Windclan?" She felt her leaders eyes on her but she didnt dare look at him. She felt funny. She wasnt herself at all. She just hoped that this gathering would hurry its self up so she can get home. |

Shinestream saw two of her Medicine Cat friends, Heathershine and Frostbite. She smiled at then but stayed by her apprentice's side. She couldn't help but glance st the moon. "Good, no clouds yet."she sighed under breath. She kept looking for anything that could be a sign.

Sparrowstar flicked his tail back and forth before letting it fall with ease. He watched his clan mingle and nodded to the she-cats comment. Growing clans were good. He didn't mind them one bit. He was glad that his clan was growing and rather rapidly as well. He knew there were queens who would have kits any moment."New-Leaf usually brings the best news to clans Vipermoon. Has your clan brought any kits as of late? The tom asked. He decided to relax and wrap his tail around his paws."Is something bothering the great deputy of ShadowClan?"
Whitepaw looked at Lightpaw. The tom asked a good question. He looked at his mentor Wonderstruck. He had so many questions as well."If there is a battle between the clans, it will be big it will be difficult to save them all, and I don't want to have to pick and choose my battles!" The white tom mewed. ShadowClans Medicine cat apprentice wrapped his small white tail around his paws."The gathering of Medicine cats is soon perhaps StarClan will give us some light, and until then we can just keep guessing..or perhaps the clans will reveal something that would give us a clue..." The ShadowClan MCA looked at Frostbite before dipping her head with respect."Apologies ms, Frostbite, I'm whitepaw, Wonderstrucks apprentice!"

Viperstar let out a mrrow of pure laughter, something she didn't as often as she'd like. No one had made her laugh like that in a long time. The she-cat found the feeling strange yet familiar, amazing yet somewhat scary.
"Hahaha! I'm not that great Sparrowstar!" Viperstar replied with a modest look, the sad feelings starting to go away "It's just that you remind me of a close friend I had. He changed a lot though... Many cats are changing nowadays..."
Viperstar found herself lying down on the ground comfortably with a sad expression on her face.
"What's wrong with me tonight?" the strong cat thought to herself with a worried flick of her long tail "I'm usually not this open but tonight I am... Why?"

Is this gathering over yet? she thought as she looked around. She heard another young voice and sure enough another apprentice came up to talk with her and heathershine. Frostbite raised an eyebrow at the apprentice as he spoke. He was very polite in a way. Odd for such a cat who comes from Shadowclan. They were usually nasty and rude and only cared about themself then any other clan in the forest. Frostbite listened to Whitepaw and nodded. Ms frostbite eh? She gave a half smile and liked the sound of that. Why couldnt all cats call her ms frostbite. Surely this cat would adapt to the cruel world of shadowclan, pick up on their nasty attitudes and soon fit in. "Please to meet you Whitepaw, I'm sure wonderstruck has taught you well so far.." She really didnt feel like talking, she didnt even feel like being up. She wanted to just sleep the day away in all honesty. Strangly, this was not like her at all. |

"I am doing fine, and WindClan is well." Heathershine said to Frostbite. She remained quiet as the other cats talked around her. She was the type of cat that the saying 'Do not speak unless spoken to' implied to, except hers was by choice. She wondered where her own apprentice had gotten to. She didn't want Slushpaw wondering off and getting into trouble. She shook the thought out of her head. He didn't want sympathy, so he would receive none, none from her anyway.

Spiderclaw a Riverclan tom didn't wait a moment longer before running down into the clearing where all the cats gathered. The black tom made his way into the crowd. His amber eyes fell on a thunderclan she-cat. Raising a brow he contemplated where he had see her before. Perhaps he knew her from another gathering. What he didn't know however is that he had helped kill the she-cats brother many moons ago. He hadn't meant too in all honesty but why would he not defend RiverClan? Shaking his fur he looked around. Everyone seemed to be chatting. Elders from all the clans gathered in one corner sharing tones. That was right, Medicine Cats and Elders had a bond within all four clans. It was almost like they didn't have a code they just all got along. His whiskers twitched slightly and he suddenly felt like he wanted to get along with someone outside of the clan like that. He let his amber gaze drop to his paws and then slowly lift up again to look at the one leader on the rock waiting for the gathering to officially begin.

Sparrowstar watched the she-cat closely. the great Vipermoon not admitting that she wasn't? The tom raised a curious brow as to why the once normally confident she-cat had lost her touch. His blue eyes pierced through her trying to find answers. When he couldn't find anything he sighed."Perhaps there is something that you are not sharing with me ms.Vipermoon?" the tom mewed. He flicked his tabby tail before heading to the great rock. He turned around just quickly enough to speak again."I must go stand with Skystar since that is my place." The tom mewed. He turned around and padded forward. With a mighty leap he scrambled up. Some seemed shocked to see him in that position. Others knew it was only a matter of time.

Viperstar merely stood up, gave a small chuckle and gave the Riverclan leader a friendly lick on the cheek. After he left to join the other leaders Viperstar looked around the island, golden eyes gleaming, seeing if it was just about time for the Gathering to officially start. Once she saw the deputies and medicine cats fully grouped up, ready for the monthly gathering to start, the muscular she-cat made her way to the huge tree, easily climbing to a branch near Sparrowstar in a matter of seconds.
The she-cat looked down at the shocked faces of the other cats with an amused smirk. She stayed quiet for a bit, waiting for some cats to get settled before stepping forward and letting a loud yowl escape her powerful jaws.
"Cats of all Clans!" Viperstar began as soon as she had every cat's attention "I regret to inform you that Maplestar has left Shadowclan. I have gotten my 9 lives from Starclan a few dawns ago and am now Viperstar, the new leader of Shadowclan and Stormfeather is my deputy. Anyhow, Newleaf has already started to affect Shadowclan as our fresh-kill pile has started to grow bigger and we are just as strong as ever."

"Oh..was i sleeping...how embarrassing..." Sighed Kobrafang. He noticed that the Thunderclan and Riverclan leaders were very fidgety so what Chestnutflame had said was possibly true! It made him anxious about what was upsetting them and where was Maplestar? Something strange must of happened.. "I wonder where Fallingstar is if she isn't here i will have to give out the news!" Sighed Kobrafang, nervousness pricking at his belly. "I don't even know what to say but your right i shouldn't be just sitting here!" He replied, he wanted too get known by the other clans, he didn't want to be some unknown deputy...he looked around and spotted Spiderclaw, he wasn't chatting too anyone! Kobrafang slipped through the crowd towards the tom.

She don't know how she managed to keep from running ahead as her clan made the trek across the territory, around the lake, and over the tree bridge to the island for her very first gathering. Perhaps the fact that she didn't know the way contributed, but such a thing wasn't likely to stop her unless she let it. Maybe it was the nerves and eagerness fighting for dominance within her that subdued her. It wasn't long ago before she wasn't even allowed out of camp, and now she was leaving the territory altogether and meeting many new cats. It was exciting, but also a little scary.
Especially the tree bridge.
Timberpaw would be the first to admit to anyone that she wasn't the world's most graceful cat. Fact was, she was outright clumsy. If not for her clanmates being right there with her the whole time, she would have ended up swimming most of the way to the island. She was thankful that only her own clan saw just how often she had nearly fallen into the water, as she desperately wanted to make a good first impression on the other clans. If they knew just how awkward she was, they'd never take her seriously as a future warrior. Not only that, but her mentor was Skystar himself. How would her slip-ups make him look?
She would have to work on that.
A lot.
But now her paws were back on solid ground, and she gave herself a moment to look around before she followed the clan to the meeting place. There, she made herself comfortable and watched as the cats from the other clans arrived.
