Brookpaw just nodded. She couldn't say much. She dragged the squirrel along it nearly tripped her a few times. She placed her prey back into the pile and she took her mouse and dropped it in Frostbites den. She soon spotted her father and ran up to him."Guess what dad I caught a mouse and that Huge squirrel. Nightowl taught me hunting tricks today! I can't wait to train tomorrow or the next day. I'm going to be an AWESOME warrior." Brookpaw exaggerated.

The blue and gray tom licked the she-cat between the ears."Good, since you can hunt mice squirrels and voles you and timberpaw are joining me and Snowleaf on a hunting patrol tomorrow." He saw the look of dissapointment hin his daughters eyes but that was fine with him. He dipped his head to nightowl in praise. She would turn into a fine warrior.

Nightowl set his prey on the pile than walked up to Brookpaw and her father just in time to hear what he said. "I'm sorry she can't go with you I already have plans for her. She'll be busy all day. In the morning she's cleaning the elders den out and collecting prey for them. Than where going to the clearing and I'm going to teach her a few basic moves. Maybe another day. But not tomorrow." Turning to Brookpaw he purred and flicked her ear gently. "You did well go and eat you have the rest of the day off. I'll meet you at the elders den tomorrow I'll help you with clearing their moss out and checking their pelts for ticks." He knew the apprentice wouldn't like it but all apprentices had to do it. It taught them respect and humiliation.

Skystar raised a brow."I can't allow that. I've already assigned Pyropaw and Rockpaw to apprentice chores tomorrow. Don't you know that apprentice train one day and have the next day off." His tone was harsh and he flicked his tail irritably."Perhaps you should go back and review the rules of ThunderClan nightowl. I know you want her to learn, but you will burn her out. If you want to teach her tomorrow let her rest, go on a hunting patrol then you may train her for a little bit, That is the only compramise you shall receive." Skystar nosed his daughter into her den before twitching his whiskers and walking into his own.
