Panting hard on the ground she looked back and saw kits of all colors at her stomach. Tears streamed down her eyes and she tried so hard to not cry out of pain, confusion, stress and other things that filled her body let alone her mind. How could this happen? She didnt even.. no.. it couldnt be..
She triedto push that thought aside and focused on the kits sucking her milk. She sat up and licked each and every one of them. She was under a shady branch big enough for two cats and her heart pounded fast as ever. what is someone saw her? would she lose her medicine cat position? how pissed would starclan be right now? What would Skystar think..
She went back to that night where things got pretty heated between her and Skystar. No.. it couldnt have gone that far. She tried to think of other times.. no.. she had never ever since her and skystar.. tears fell from her eyes and she was a wreck. Blood was everywhere and her breathing was shallow. Apparently she was producing enough milk but for how much longer? She wasnt that big to produce a ton of milk. Licking another kit at her stomach she tried to think about what would happen.. someone was going to find her and soon.. but it all depended on who that cat would be.. |

Skystar woke up that night in a sudden panic. The tom panting and fur ruffled look around him. Things seemed normal. The tom licked his fur down before stepping out into the chilled night air. The instant cold air relaxed him. His clan was still in tact. Crimsonstar hadn't attacked yet and his warriors weren't injured they were all in their nests sleeping.With a sigh of relief he padded to where he got the most comfort. The medicine cats den. He popped his head and parted his jaws to speak "Can I have some Poppy seeds Frost---" She wasn't here. Where in StarClans name was she?
Skystar pushed his way out of the tunnel and made his way through his territory Suddenly the scent of milk hit his nostrils. They flared up and his whiskers twitched. Did another clan cat have kits on their territory? Perhaps Frostbite went to help? Skystar was prepared mentally to help a nursing queen back to their territory. What he did see however he wasn't prepared for.
Under a large tree was the white medium furred she-cat. Skystars jaw dropped slowly as he looked at the nursing kits. He raised a brow and didn't even realize what was happening. The tom was confused to all Starclan. He padded forward slowly. He was acting like he didn't want to break them and he was afraid he would.
"Frostbite...." He tilted his head to to look at the squirming bundles of fur. They were so cute. His eyes beamed but then he looked at the medicine cat."Why didn't you tell me...are...are you okay....is there anything I can do...I...." the tom didn't know what to say."Do you have names picked?" was the last thing he was able to spit out before wrapping his tail shakily around his paws. |

The medicine cat almost didnt hear another cat approaching and turning her head the tears flew down her cheeks and she too started to shake. Out of all the cats, it had to be her leader. Please tell me this is a dream.. she thought. Sadly the pain was as real as it was going to get.
Frostbite looked down at the kits and hissed, "Your wondering if i'm okay then switch to if i have picked out names for them?! I didnt even know i was carrying them you mouse brained idiot! I'm in pain, im scared, I dont even remember..." Her blue eyes looked down the rows of kittens and mewed, "This isnt even suppose to happen I dont understand.."
It hit her. Her blue eyes slowly turned towards her leader and she whispered, "your their father.." |

Skystar lowered himself to the ground and found himself sheilding Frostbite from the direction so no one could see her. Who knew what the clan would think. He listened to her speak and just nodded. He was apologetic. He honestly didn't know how to react. She didn't know she was carrying. How odd."You must have been carrying before Crimsonstar left..." he mewed. Frostbite was a moody she-cat to begin with so the earlier signs of pregnancy wouldn't have been that noticable. The she-cat also never ate. Who would have guessed?
The tom looked at the four kits. He was honestly shocked to see that many. He couldn't believe it to be honest. Four kits was a lot for someone who didn't even look like they were carrying."I've never had kits of my own...I I know it's against the code, but....it make me happy...Frostbite...you make me happy...I would never be ashamed of this...but would you want this to be a secret? I know Snowberry is nursing....she had her kit last night that is if you want...to keep this a secret,"

Tears left her eyes as she saw the leader come closer to her and block her out from the world. Trying to blink her tears away she listened to her leader and looked down at the four nursing kittens. Her blue eyes met his and she took in every word he was saying. She looked away and still couldnt believe she was in this mess.
Shaking her head she mewed, "How are we going to get them to the nursery they will smell like us, they just came out they cant leave me for more then a few seconds. Camp is too far and then snowberry will have to know starclan knows she can keep this a secret.." Her motherly instincts kicked in. She couldnt leave them. She had the option in her head to give them to another clan but she couldnt live with that. Then seeing Skystar was the father.. but it would keep things only between them.. not a third she cat.
Gulping she licked the kitten that had patches all over her fur and whispered, "Patchkit.." what?? She was already naming them now? She cant be naming them! Then she will be getting attatched to them! Sadly.. she already was the moment she was giving birth to them. "I'm so sorry skystar..." |

When Frostbite licked the wonderful kit and announced her name Skystar couldn't help but let out a rather warm purr. The tom knew it was agaisnt the code but at this point in time he honestly didn't care. He licked the she-cat between the ears. Perhaps StarClan gave him that nightmare so he would find her. Or perhaps they were warning him either way he didn't like his dream. He looked at a small white bundle of fur who appeared to be the runt of the litter. poor thing. He nosed the tom gently towards his mother and found himself looking at all four with soft wide eyes."I...I like Snowkit for this one Frostbite..." he mewed. He could see that the she-cat was getting attached to them already. She was also right, they couldn't leave their mother for a day or two, but what were they going to do."No need to apologize Frostbite. Also...I know you may not like the idea, but since they won't be able to leave you or awhile, Theres an abandoned den under a tree that's near by. I can make you a makeshift nursery. I would only go back to camp long enough to organize a patrol. I can always say I'm going to moonpool with you to see if Crimsonstar plans to attack. That would take up a day or twos time...or so..."

Frostbite smiled at the name for snowkit. She liked that name. She watched the leader nudge the little one and the only thing she felt was a warm heart. Who knows what else would have happened if another cat aside from skystar came by. She looked at another white and grey kitten and she mewed, "Brookkit" She listened to her leader as she kept her eyes on the kittens but didnt say a word. She listened to the plan then mewed, "Then what. Cats are probably already noticing im gone and what are you suppose to tell them? Oh she had kits so she is gonna be gone for some time." Her ears flatened against her head and she gave brookkit another gentle lick. Her eyes screamed with worry and she looked at skystar and mewed, "Skystar they wont last another day... I'm not a nursing queen and I dont have a lot of milk. They will run out. I cant give them anything else once this day has ended. They need milk skystar.." Tears filled her eyes and her voice shook, "I cant lose them skystar.." Her heart then felt heavy and she then looked away. These kits had to leave her for more milk. She couldnt produce enough. |

Sagepaw awoke to "Frost...." The voice of Skystar filled the medicine den. He hopped up and then the tom was gone. The young apprentice followed his leader . Not knowing where he was going, Sagepaw followed anyways. The scent of his mentor filled his nose and Skystar sat by a tree. A white furry creature laid beside him. Frostbite The medicine cat apprentice thought. Squeals of a kit filled the surrounding area. Sagepaw sat by, thinking if he should approach them. He finally made his decision. The young tom moved towards the two cats and waited for them to see him.

Skystar twitched his whiskers and looked at the final tortoiseshell tom who he thought looked like he had a storm rippling through his pelt."I think Stormkit suites this one don't you think?" he mewed. His whiskers twitched when the stench of Sagepaw filtrated his nose. With wide eyes he whipped his head around and looked at the apprentice."Frostbite found kits in the forest!" Skystar lied looking at the apprentice."We didn't find a nursing queen which means they were left here. After a long discussion we have decided to keep them and make them ThunderClan warriors. Run back to snowberry and have her help us bring these kits back to camp. HURRY!"

The medicine cats heart stopped when the smell of her apprentice passed in her nose. She didnt know what to say but her leader beat her to it. She looked up at skystar with a raised eyebrow. Well she wouldnt have thought of that honestly. She looked down at Stormkit and smiled. Her heart sank seeing she couldnt nurse these beautiful kittens. Patchkit gave out a yell seeing she was already out of milk. Her eyes shot over to her leader and then to her apprentice and hissed, "Well get going!" |

[size1]Night time was the only time when the gray and white she-cat was able to get up and go for a walk, She was able to leave young hazelkit asleep. With tired lids the she-cat found herself in the forest wandering almost aimlessly. Her whiskers twitched when she heard rapid pawsteps. She heard her name get called and she raised a brow and padded forward. She heard bits and pieces. When she looked at the kits she knew what had happened. The she-cat had a feeling. She took a whiff of them and sighed."They smell like rogue," the nursing queen lied. she knew that the Medicine Cat and Leader would both want to hide this. She looked at Skystar then back at Frostbite.Frostbite...what can I do to make this easy....for you?" she mewed.[/size]

Frostbite lifted her head to see the queen out and about and come up to her. Her eyes screamed sleep but she knew she couldnt. Frostbite was silent for a long time. She kept her eyes on the queen and mewed, "They need milk snowberry.." She looked down the row of kittens and licked patchkit and brookkit on the back and looked back up at the she cat. "Nothing is going to be easy about this Snowberry. You want to make things easy? Lets go back four moons and have this not happen.." Nuzzling snowkit closer to her she didnt want these kits out of her sight but she knew she would have to give them up and get back to her job in the clan. She looked at Skystar and asked quietly, "What do you want to do Skystar?" |

Snowberry looked at the smallest kit who we still struggling to get to his mother. She looked at Frostbite and picked the small kit up by the scruff. She flicked her tail letting the queen know that she would be back to grab another. That would leave Frostbite and Skystar to deal with the final two kits. That would make life someone what easier.
Skystar looked at frostbite. He honestly didn't know what to do. He knew that Frostbite would have give up nursing her kits if she wanted to stay a medicine cat. He also knew that there was no denying that these kits were his. They were a splitting image of him almost. He looked back to where Snowberry had disappeared."We need to get back to camp so Snowberry can feed them. That's a start. I guess if your strong enough....us three can discuss it in my den." He saw snowberry return who then picked up Stormkit. Skystar lowered down and gently picked up Brookkit. That left the other small she-cat whom his mate had named Patchkit. Did Frostbite really wish she could take back the past few moons?

Frostbite watched Snowberry pick up one kit and carry him off. Her heart sank seeing him go but as fast as he left snowberry was back with another in her mouth and padded away. She didnt look at her leader but could feel him reach down and get one also. She almost didnt hear what he had to say but heard the yells of her kits being taken away. She looked down at patchkit squirming and crying for warmth, milk, love, anything kits usually wanted. I'm so sorry little one.. she thought. She wasnt ready to move yet let alone strong enough but she forced herself to get up anyways. She staggered a bit and bent down to pick up patchkit who was still crying. Tears filled Frostbite's eyes and she padded back to camp quickly as possible. |

Skystar looked at Frostbite with sympathetic eyes while following Snowberry back to the clan. She was already in the nursery nursing her own kit along with two of his and Frostbites. He placed Brookkit down who began to suckle imediately. He then looked at Frostbite and waited."remember Frostbite...you have the choice to tell everyone that these are yours. You can choose to tell everyone, and if you do I'll be by your side. If you wish to stay a medicine cat, StarClan will certainly honor your courage of keeping a secret this big." He mewed.
He looked at his kits. Many in his clan asked him what was going on. He simply stated his kits were born. everyone assumed they were Snowberry's thus far since she was the only one prodcing enough milk to say so. That knocked down the rumor that Frostbite and Skstar were mates. He raised a brow as a warrior came to congratulate him. He gave a curt nod before giving Frostbite a lick between the ears."Do you know what you want to do?"
