Kobrafang thought then came up with an answer "Let's see how Chestnutflame does first than lets take the risk and do as Fawnshadow thought!" Kobrafang explained. He crouched down and hid in the thickets avoiding sight of the rabbits. He then nodded towards Chestnutflame signalling the time for him too hunt.

Why did he have to be the puppet? The tom raised a brow before lowering himself to the ground. Rabbits were the most difficult to catch. If he missed one he would look like a total fool. With a quick breath the tom closed his eyes. He just had to focus. He put one paw in front of the other moving quietly, swiftly, and steathily across the moors. His eyes fell on a brown and white rabbit that was nibbling on a piece of grass. He stopped and didn't move. His whiskers twitched. Inching forward a little bit more the tom sprang forward the rabbit saw him and moved, like all rabbits do. This was the difficult part of it. Sprinting forward he tackled the prey to the ground and killed it with a swift bite. Looking up he flicked his tail."Caught one!

"Nice catch Chestnutflame!" She called out quietly, her voice just able to be heard. She stayed crouched behind a thicket. Now they were going to go into the brambles. She prayed to StarClan that it would work and they could catch at least two more rabbits. The clan was counting on them for food. She steadied her breath. Her eyes and ears were alert . It's time for my plan now. But who ever goes in might get injured, she reminded herself. "I'll go in the brambles, it's my idea, I'll take the risk." |
