Here we have the thread for Icepetal to meet with Spiderclaw.Icepetal never really paid attention to her surroundings when she wandered. When her mind was preoccupied with whatever it may be preoccupied with, her paws just felt the need to move her from one spot to another. With the recent dangers presented to her Clan, she realized that this wasn't a very smart thing to do. But it was her way of coping.
Today, her mind was whirling with the speed of a typhoon. It never stayed on one subject too long before moving on to the next. Icepetal couldn't pinpoint exactly what she was concerned about, but her paws carried her. She didn't realize where she was going until the smell of RiverClan swamped her senses.
Her ears pricked with interest. She was by the border, and the smell was relatively fresh. Either she just missed a patrol or one was around.

The pure black tom looked to the left then right. He looked at Mosspaw then to an older tom who had earned many battle scars. "ThunderClan has been getting close to our boarders again. Take Mosspaw to finish the patrol. I'll make up for not killing the apprentice moons ago like you asked me too." The older tom mewed to his former mentor. He noticed the tom give a curt nod before nudging the brown she-cat along.
Spiderclaw however, wasn't that type of tom. He didn't kill just because or to prove himself. He twitched his whiskers and waited until the senior warrior vanished through the reeds with his apprentice. With an audible sigh he made his way forward letting his senses guide him. The stench of ThunderClan was rather strong. They hadn't crossed the boarder but they were getting close."You can come out ThunderClan cat, I know you are there. No use in hiding." His amber eyes bounced with amusement but his tone was serious. He wrapped his black tail around his paws and waited for Icepetal to show herself. He had plenty of time and would wait here all day.

Icepetal froze when she heard the voice drift across the border. She hoped that he would just go on with his patrol, but they were dashed when he sent his Clanmates ahead of him. Maybe he just caught a scent of prey? She held her breath again, then let it all whoosh out when he blatantly told her to stop hiding.
"Arg... Son of a fox-hearted, dung-eating, twoleg..." she cursed out loud as she padded forward. She glared at the RiverClan at- who she just realized was a tom named Spiderclaw- and pouted. "How did you know I was there? The border is bathed in ThunderClan scent enough that I wouldn't stand out unless you were looking for me!"

The black tom scoffed. He wasn't looking for anyone. He didn't really know Icepetal outside of gatherings. Why would he look for her."I'm the best tracker in RiverClan. Icepetal. Your side hasn't been marked in a few days your scent stood out like a black cat in leaf-bare." The tom mewed. He stood on his half the boarder turning his amber eyes into little slits. He tried to make himself look more threatening than he really was. As long as the other clans thought he was strong that's all that mattered."why are you so close to the boarder? Are you looking for someone or are you just enjoying the view of the reeds?"

Icepetal snorted at the RiverClan tom when he said she stood out like a black cat in leaf-bare. "And I suppose you know all about that, don't you?" she retorted, eyeing his black pelt from across the border. Her ear twitched when he asked why she was near the border and she gave a sickeningly sweet smile that did nothing to give her the look of innocence. Then again, that was probably what she was going for. "Why, what makes you think I'm by the border to do anything? Maybe I was just wandering around my own territory and just happened to find my way over here..."
That was actually the truth, now that she thought about it. The way she said it, though, was probably not doing anything to make him believe her. Not that Icepetal really cared if Spiderclaw believed her. She hadn't crossed the border, so there was no reason for him to be all cross and agitated.

Spiderclaw wrapped his black tail around his paws and just sat there. He watched the tall reeds sway back and forth as the breeze[ picked up. He listened intently to her words but part of him didn't really believe her. He was nearly skeptical. Why would some warrior get so close to the boarder and not be looking for anything."I know very well Icepetal what it's like to stand out like a sore paw. At least in leafbare, however, try finding me at night, it is no easy task.." The warrior mewed. He flicked his ears when he heard the patrol heading back his way. He snickered knowing that the she-cat wouldn't have much time to hide.
However, Spiderclaw wasn't that mean. He dove into the patch of reeds lowering himself to the ground. His black fur bristled, and his long tail flicked Icepetals flank letting her know to do the same.
"Spiderclaw it reeks of ThunderClan. What on earth is going on?" It was the harsh words of his previous mentor and his own apprentice Mosspaw.
"I know. I am marking the boarder slightly closer this time. I'm hoping it will push ThunderClan back, if they get to much closer we will attack!" Spiderclaw mewed from the reeds still hiding with Icepetal. His black fur brushed against hers which was something the tom didn't particularly enjoy. He heard the patrol leave. Once they did the tom stood up shaking his fur, and crossing back to his own side."Your welcome ThunderClan cat." he mewed. With a look of amusement in his amber eyes.
