Snakey silently crept up the large tree, stalking a blackbird that she intended to make her dinner. Her golden eyes never leaving the bird as she climbed up the tree and made her way across the branch the prey was on. Once she was in pouncing range the black and gray she-cat leaped onto the bird and managed to kill it after a brief struggle but, suddenly, lost her footing and started falling from the extremely tall height! Quickly, she flipped in mid-air and used her sharp claws to re-attach herself to the tree and calmly climb down like nothing happened, bird still in her maw.

Cinder was wandering around the garden. Not truly knowing what she was doing, but figuring that she'd find out what to do when something arose in front of her. She was just too bored to be doing nothing. She thought about finding something to eat, but she wasn't necessarily hungry. She had just killed a bird not too long ago and shouldn't be hungry for a while.
She was walking before she spotted Snakey in a tree. Cinder quietly hung back as it looked like she was about to attack something and she didn't want to ruin her hunt. She watched patiently as Snakey hunted her pray and eventually killed it.
"Nice catch," Cinder appraised Snakey for the nice catch. She barely saw Snakey, as she was rarely home, so she wasn't going to miss a chance of talking to her.

"Thanks Cinder." Snakey responded to the younger she-cat through the bird in her mouth "Tell me, have you seen Secret or Mongoose? They were supposed to be meeting me here for dinner but looks like they aren't anymore..."
Snakey put down her meal and sighed sadly. She had planned to teach Secret some hunting and climbing if he came but looks like all her plans were shattered.
"Anyway, how are you young one? Mongoose treating you well?" the Virusclan spy asked the corporal "He should be treating all of you cats well even when I'm not around."

"I haven't seen them all day. I don't know where they are," Cinder told Snakey truthfully. She had been out wandering around basically all day and hadn't been around home. Cinder got bored at home and didn't like to dwell too much there, even though she always returned. Cinder was more of an independent cat than a clan cat. Which was why she belonged to Virus and no where else.
"Of course he's treating us well. Even when you're not around," Cinder knew she probably sounded colder than she should around Snakey. She knew Snakey was fine and not mean or anything. But Cinder had grown up alone, she had learned to trust no one. She was trying to get past that after she joined the Vrius Clan, but she had been with Mongoose for about a year, and she still wasn't used to it.

Secret came rushing out of the house into the garden. He'd spent most of the day inside, playing around with the other kits or showing off to the elders who seemed to always make a fuss over him. Right now, he'd just woken up from a quick nap in the attic upstairs. There was a cosy corner right at the top where Secret and his friends loved to curl up and sleep in. There were a lot of spiders in the attic too which they always tried to catch. Secret purred happily as he remembered having a competition to see which of the kits could catch the most spiders. He'd won.
"Mummy! Cinder!" he mewed excitedly when he'd reached the two she-cats and nuzzled his mother's chest affectionately. "Daddy said he's busy... And sorry I'm late, I was sleeping up in my corner."

"Secret!" Snakey's eyes lit up excitedly as she saw her son run towards her "It's fine my dear. You need your sleep after all! Anyway, you must be hungry. Come, we can share this bird and you can tell Cinder and I about your day while you eat."
Snakey returned Secret's affectionate nuzzle and started covering the gray kit with licks. Once she was content with the cleanliness of her son's fur, the black and gray she-cat plucked a few feathers off of the bird and pushed it closer to Secret. Snakey was careful to keep the feathers in a small pile close to her. Feathers were good for playing and as a nest lining.

Cinder smiled softly. She found the family to be kind of cute. It made Cinder sad sometimes, seeing the family together like they were. Cinder never had a family. Never knew that kind of love, and seeing theirs made her realize what she was missing out on. She didn't need that kind of love, though. She was perfectly fine as she was.
"Hello, Secret. I hope you slept well." Cinder thought the Kit was one of the cutest things ever. It kind of made her want kits someday. Yet Cinder was too afraid that she would be a bad mother to them, just like her mother was to her.
"Yes. Tell us all about your day. I'm sure it was eventful!"

Secret purred as his mother cleaned his fur. "Good. Because I love to sleep... but I love eating the bestest." Secret's clear blue eyes lit up as Snakey pushed the bird over to him. "Thanks, Mummy." he mewed quickly, remembering his manners before digging in. He hadn't eaten all day and was starving.
Once he'd finished his meal, Secret licked his lips and looked up at Cinder. "I did sleep well! Very well!" he exclaimed happily. Secret partly wished he'd stayed asleep in his corner, it was very cold outside. Freezing compared to his corner.
"I did what I usually do... nothing much, really... How come I never get to leave this stupid, old house. I want to explore!" the little kit moaned. Secret wanted nothing more to explore the lands he'd heard his parents speak of many times.
