Viperstar walked over to the fresh-kill pile and took a small swallow as her dinner before moving to an empty spot to eat by herself. Things were going well for the new leader. She was somewhat respected, she had a good deputy and nothing horrible was happening yet. What more could a leader ask for?
"Everything's good but why do I feel like something's going to be a pain in the tail and ruin it soon. Really soon." the large she-cat growled to herself in between small bites of swallow.

"Good morning Viperstar" Stormfeather greeted, padding silently up to his leader. "What a lovely day for patrolling and sleeping eh? Already the fresh kill pile is the biggest it has been in moons"

Why was everything so messed up lately? Maplestar leaving, Crimsonstar orchestrated a threat to the entire forest? Terncall felt frustrated with all of it, and everything that came along with those feelings of frustration. The black and white she-cat had never felt such a strong sense of it in a long time. To go right along with those feelings, the she-cats waves of depression were raking through her subconscious like red hot knives, making it hard for her to get up in the morning, and making it even harder to go about her duties. Right now, she didn't see the point in doing anything for ShadowClan, Maplestar and Crimsonstar were going to destroy it any ways. Blinking her eyes with force, Terncall sighed as she stepped out of the warriors den and into the clearing of her home.
The camp was swarming with activity, patrols heading out to hunt, or the routine border surveys. Living their lives day to day, in the name of StarClan. It made her chest hurt. It would be all in vain if CrimsonClan, or whatever it was called prevailed. Yes, she stood up against Maplestar and swore she would stand by her Clan and fight, but what would the use of it be, if everyone just wound up dead afterall? Taking a very deep breath in and holding it in her fully expanded lungs, she glanced around for any cats that sparked her interest, her eyes finally coming to a stop on the her new leader and deputy. Exhaling, she placed one foot in front of the other until she made it over to the hierarchy.
"Good morning Viperstar, Stormfeather." Dipping her head, she smiled sweetly to both of them. With Maplestar gone, the only cat in the Clan that knew of her depression was Wonderstruck. And in all honesty, she was perfectly okay with that. She didn't need all the questions and inquiring looks. "Everyone seems lively this morning." Terncall purred, though it was forced and choppy. Looking from Stormfeather to Viperstar, her brow furrowed. "Everything alright Viperstar? You seem rather ... annoyed."

"Good morning Stormfeather." she let her head dip in greeting "Yes it has. Newleaf is doing us good, thank Starclan."
Viperstar forced herself to smile slightly but went to devouring her swallow until Terncall came and greeted her leader.
"Good morning Terncall. Come. Sit with us." Viperstar swept her long tail over an empty spot close to her, beckoning the warrior to sit with them "I should ask the same of you Terncall. You seem quite troubled indeed."

A calico she-cat watched the leader eat as she sat in the shadows. She hated the clan ways eventhough she was born in Shadowclan. Crimsonleaf looked around, her green eyes shining. She would always stay in the shadows because no one payed attention to her. The only thing that was good about the clan's was that there was food and shelter.

Whisperclaw I stretched backwards, rocking back onto my back legs and letting my front legs stretch out in front of me. I revelled in the feeling of my joints popping after a nice long sleep in my den, and soon after I rocked forward, stretching out first one leg and then the other behind me. Pleased with the springy feeling that resulted in my muscles, I bounded over to the fresh-kill pile.
There were a few tasty objects that were more than open for me to select from, two mice and a bird for sure. Yet I didn't feel quite right in taking from the pile when there were plenty of hungry mouths to feed, not to mention that many others needed to keep their strength up while I had my boundless piles of energy. I could wait to eat. I padded across the camp to where a couple other of the clan cats were sitting. She meowed good-naturedly in greeting.
