In Icepetal's history, I mention an attack from RiverClan from when she was an apprentice. During that attack, she's ganged up on by three cats, two warriors and an apprentice. It says that Fogflight, then Fogpaw, came to her rescue and that the apprentice ran scared while the warriors were fighting with him. I was thinking that that apprentice, now a warrior, and Icepetal meet again by the border and become friends, and eventually mates.
Here's the catch. The two warriors that Fogflight had beaten were his father and brother, and they've always felt resentment at being beaten at that battle. So they learn about this cat has been meeting with a she-cat from another Clan, spy on them, and recognize Icepetal from that battle. At first they're all, "He's such a genius! Seduce the she-cat and gain ThunderClan's secrets!" Then discover that he really has fallen in love with her.
The warriors ambush this tom and Icepetal at the border, where Fogflight once again rescues his sister, as well as this tom. The RiverClan warriors tell Icepetal's mate that if he comes back, they'll kill him and expose their relationship. So he goes back to ThunderClan with Icepetal and Fogflight! Whether they live happily ever after or not is yet to be decided...
This idea literally just came into my head, so it's not all fleshed out that much. Yay or nay, my lovelies?

I have Spiderclaw who I just finished in Riverclan! his history doesn't mention that part but I don't mind adding it in! I think this would be something fun to roleplay out
