Patchpaw had to get out of the camp before she died of boredom. Her paws wouldnt let her sit still. Sure her father would be upset with her leaving the camp but she was going to be back. She promised herself that she would.
The young apprentice padded out of the camp and didnt stop walking until she knew there was a reason to. Looking at all the tall trees and seeing the sun peek through them made her thankful that new leaf was coming and fast.
Poor Patchpaw was still mentorless but that gave her more time to explore her home and let alone forest. Keeping up a quick pace she then began trotting across the forest floor. She past some pretty cool places she thought were amazing.
Things seemed to be going good until she heard something. A russtle of some animal maybe. Patchpaw blinked and thought about it. Sadly she didnt think about it all the way through. Maybe it was a friend she was able to meet! Patchpaw padded quietly towards the sound. She looked through a bush and her ears went flat against her head and her body to the ground. It was a badger with its kids!
Backing away slowly she thought it might be a good idea not to stay and watch them tear apart a fox. Quietly crawling away she was far enough from them to continue having her fun.
With out knowing it she found herself on what seemed to be.. an island? Padding forward and her mouth dropped. A huge tree sat in the middle of this part of the forest and the branches were low enough for any warrior cat to perch on. Blinking she took a few steps forward and then stopped looking up.
Was this where the gatherings were held? She only heard stories of when they happened but this was her very first time being here on her own. Getting an idea she ran towards the low branches and leaped up int the air attempting to jump up onto the branch but sadly she wasnt tall enough and fell right to the ground.
Shaking her head and getting up from the floor she gave the tree a growl. Sitting down she looked up at the branches and wondered which one her father took. Hearing a twig snap behind her she shot her head around and stopped breathing. Was it her father? Another clan cat? The badger? Getting a bit scared now with no one to protect her she pressed up against the tree and let her fur fluff out. She wasnt going to go down with out a fight.
