This thread is a roleplay scene between my two characters Kestrelstar and Riv. It isn't a roleplay thread for other members, but feel free to read through, but it's just for character development, and perhaps could build for future plots for the both of them. Rivaxorus Riverclan territory hadn't seemed so close to the she-cat when the time came for it. She wasn't looking for trespassing, well, she didn't think she was. It was more over, a home seeker, in the point where this Starclan that her mother spoke of all lead up to these four clans that lived as separate here. Shadowclan seemed to be the most vicious of all of them. But, this paradise of water, seemed to be the most serenity of the situation she lived in, so many ways she could pass it through her state of mind, and that was the way the loner kept it. There was a story spreading of a leader here, who told stories, and perhaps Riv could hear a true one, about this Starclan, about how they helped, their spiritual beliefs, could push them on. Rivaxorus wasn't even sure if Starclan would accept a loner like her, who only wanted to be accepted into her family once more. She was wildborn, not clan born, but still the legends dragged on inside her head for ever more.
Rivaxorus stepped on the stones near the water, and jumped onto the roots, along the way. It was straight on the border lands, where she had just skipped being caught by a thunderclan cat, on these banks. So she moved further in, of course, she didn't exspect anything friendly from this clan either, but if respect was given to her, then it would be given back. Except for the occasions that lead up to it, when the she-cat understood that for the fact leaders where chosen by the divine in the first place. They had seen and meet starclan, sometimes even visited time even more so. The Calico kept herself out in the open, so that she wasn't seen as sneaking around. That could make it a bit better, couldn't it?

Kestrelstar The she-cat hadn't exactly had a good day, so tonight was her chance to blow of as much steam as she could. The leader had enough to deal with, without secluding herself when it came to the pressure. Sometimes, she even wondered why Starclan had faith in her at all. A lot of other fine warriors would make excellent leaders. Even her deputy seemed to handle the clan well, as for when she was gone out, for a walk to blow of steam. She didn't want to hurt her clan, more then she hurt herself, ever since the dramatic event of when her sister died, and when her kits miscarried, not to mention her mate leaving her without another words. Kestrelstar knew it would take time to heal, and to try and not be so broken from it, yet sometimes, she wondered why it was worth it from the beginning.
When her eyes caught sight of the Calico, her hair didn't stand up on end, but more then over, a question raised in her head that why wasn't the intruder hiding. More then over twice, normally they would hide, steal food and she would have to give them a lecture. Yet, it didn't seem like this she-cat was from another clan, and the expression on her face, even more interesting, as over. The leader walked up, only a few feet away paws pressed into the wet roots, as the clear moonlight lit up their path, Silverpelt shining upon them. "Do you realize your on Riverclan ground madam?" She asked in a clear voice. There was no harm in mistaking the borders as old, she could have to send out a patrol later to re scent them, or do it herself.

Rivaxorus
The loner may have been a lot farther from her comfort zone then she liked, but to find the information she craved, she was striking her luck with these clan cats, who had a code that even Riv herself was mildly interested in. She didn't want to join one though, starclan forbid, her leaving her family behind after letting her brother get killed by that dog. Riv wanted a way to be accepted, and perhaps, Starclan could be her guide. Her light green eyes turned when she caught the sight of a magnificient she-cat. A darkly colored snowshoe, with eyes of the light sky, it seemed the beauty that struck her was clear glowing int he moonlight as it could be. When the she-cat spoke, her ears pulled forward, as the scent hit her nose and mouth when she opened it.
"I don't mean to intrude really, but I came here on rumors" Was that really a way to find what she wanted. Riv didn't want to be a bother, and even more so. The border that was clearly there, she had noticed this area was calimed. It was rather rude of her to enter without asking permission first. "I would have asked to enter first, but I wanted to avoid getting wounds from that Shadowclan. I'm looking for a story teller that's supposed to be here" Rivaxorus spoke, dipping her head with a respectful bow to the beautiful she-cat. Hopefully, no hostility would be given to her.

Kestrelstar She seemed modest enough, and had a reason to be here, not more over the stealing prey, or water. Kestrelstar didn't want to be known as the leader who threw every cat she found out, after all, this cat not being a clan cat, was not disobeying the rules as to respecting borders. Even more so, a story finder, and Kestrelstar didn't know her stories, were that much of a source. Although, she had always been one to love stories. This cat wasn't a threat to clan clearly, but yes, it would have been a bit nicer if she had waited at the border. Kestrelstar would have to put that aside for the time being. "My name is Kestrelstar, I'm the leader of Riverclan, and the story teller that you've heard of. Why are you seeking such information? Enough to enter dangerous lands I might add, Shadowclan wouldn't have let you leave alive if you hadn't crossed into Riverclan's territory."
Kestrelstar stood over the she-cat as she stepped closer, seating herself as well. The calico had shown her set of respect, more respect then some apprentices would give, that was only because they say her often though, and as usual, some had spirits beyond her control. This loner would soon be on her way after things were settled, she didn't want uprising starting. After all, at the gathering things spread, letting a loner in just wandering, might give the other clans the thought of Riverclan being weak, which was far from true.

Rivaxorus Rivaxorus nearly jumped back when she heard the cat speak again. Her ears pulled back, and a lump started in her throat. It was clear it wasn't her business to be here, but the leader was willing to give up some time for the loner. Which was very kind of her, but the flicking of her tail, told another story to Rivaxorus, for she knew herself a leader had to control the masses. Her voice studdered, "I...I'm sorry for the intrusion, but I was wondering if I could hear a story of this Starclan, my mother used to talk about them all the time, and their origin seems to be centered to these clans, it....has to do with a current problem I'm dealing with." Rivaxorus sat as well, her head down as she looked at the leader.
A leader who is strong, and a leader who knew what she was doing. It was the kind of cat Rivaxorus would give the world to be, sure she knew her way of being tough, of being kind and a guidance source, but in the end it all wasn't enough to earn the trust of her family back into her life. Rivaxorus was nervous here, and as soon as she was satisfied, she would leave as if she had never been here and respect the fact the way these clans lived were a lot different then her life style.

Kestrelstar Kestrelstar looked at the she-cat as she jumped. It seemed obvious, this was an event to where the cat needed help, and even if not in the clan she was not one to leave someone in the hopes of having nothing left. As the she-cat sat, and told her that she wanted to hear of starclan, every single story real and not real popped up inside of her head. Starclan, the divine one's that silverpelt watching them above. Her eyes drifted for a moment, looking at them, in the thoughts of a prayer, and surely and cat who wanted to learn of Starclan was welcome into the territory for help. Kestrelstar smiled for a moment, setting her tail by the she-cat's side. "There is no need to worry my friend, if it's a Starclan story I'd be happy to tell you, just tell me your name first. Where you come from as well." She stated clear as she could.
Where a cat was from was the most important part of their life. Weather clan born of not, even kittypets, they had to have started somewhere. Kestrelstar, had a family, had her parents born here, as well as her. Riverclan blood ran through her veins deep down to almost the last leader. Kestrelstar, still had her thoughts though, in the kind of respect one needed. That was what she thought of the most, helping one another was important.

Rivaxorus Her ears rose, as the leader spoke to her. The world just seemed to quiet between the two, it made Rivaxorus feel like she belonged here. This she-cat was so kind, and her voice, her beauty, it just took the loner back a few steps. Staying put to where she was though, Riv took in a deep breath and her green eyes flickered at the snowshoe she-cat. Where she was from, and what her name was, that was an easy answer. Anything to get her story, she guessed in the sight of her mind at least. "My name is Rivaxorus, I'm not far from here, more of a nomad though, I haven't had a home in some time." She lowered her ears for a moment and looked to the side, it was true. She had moved so much, she really didn't have much of a place at all to call home in all honesty.
"I wanted to hear a story, about a cat, who's lost their family, and no matter what they try their family won't listen to them. If they ever get back, is up to the story" Rivaxorus said. She wondered if there was a story she could relate to at all. If it was possible, it would make her feel so much better. Riv lifted her ears again as she looked at the leader. It was like she was looking into the face of her younger sister, the one she wanted to dedicate her life to, in any way she could.

Kestrelstar Kestrelstar listened to the loner for a moment. That must have been horrible, she thought. The leader could never think about never having a home, or a place to go back to for that matter, and to just keep going. Never to get attached, to love someone, or to even start a family. Yet, the leader herself knew the feeling of loosing that in all the chaos. Kestrelstar thought for a moment, someone who has lost their family? She knew one story to that, and the cat who prayed to Starclan, was a story her mother told her as a kit. Another one that was passed on for generations, to give the support a cat needed. Kestrelstar could guess that this cat was having some family problems, which was why she was looking for help.
"Well, there is one story, it's about a young she-cat, who wasn't much different from you really. I don't know if it's true or not, it's a story my mother told me, so if you want to listen, your free to." Kestrelstar smiled, and took in a deep breath, to begin her story.
"This young she-cat was a loner born cat, she lived in a rather large family, a mother a father and three siblings. Yet, all in the same, they looked after each other, and they lived close to the clans. When a flood happened, the family was forced into Riverclan territory, and the Riverclan cats didn't want them there, but the family convinced them to take in the kits. The she-cat and her siblings were left to the clan by their mother and father, and grew up as if, they were clan born themselves. Yet, as apprentices, when the new leader wanted to throw out any impurities, that was when the siblings found out they were not clan born. Yet still, The she-cat didn't want to be separated from her family that she considered Riverclan. So she ran away from the clan. Leaving her family, in exchange they got to stay in the clan, yet she never stopped thinking about her siblings, every night at the border she would sit, and pray to Starclan in the stars of Silverpelt, to give her a chance to be reunited with her family. A few moons past and she returned, the new leader had been over thrown by one of her siblings, but to her surprise, they didn't want her there, they told her that she had left them, in all those moons of suffering. Still though, she prayed to starclan, for many moons, as long as she could. It may have taken a long time, but Starclan sent a crow, an unlikely animal to help her and her siblings be connected again. The she-cat finally got her family to listen to her side of the story. After she spoke to them, the siblings accepted her back. So she realized, no matter how long it took, Starclan answered her calls, so the loyalty she had, led to the love she had to be reunited with her family"
The story may have been a bit long, or a bit of something that didn't hold much of a lesson behind it. Yet, perhaps, it would give this young cat the faith she needed in her life. Which was what every cat needed.

Rivaxorus Rivaxorus listened with the most out most interest. The story was set inside the clans, yet still what did she expect from a leader from a clan. The story had moral behind it, but what was she supposed to do. Pray to starclan her entire life, and just wait for the answers to spark up on her. She couldn't do that, she needed her family to listen to her, and more or less she needed it now. The calico stood up for a moment, looking at the streams running through the territory. Rivaxorus looked at the leader for a moment. "I can't just pray to Starclan my entire life, I'm not even clan born, so I doubt that they would want to help me in the first place." Her green eyes looked at the shining stars, as she flicked her tail.
The sound of trickling water calmed the she-cat, but she felt confined. After all, in all her moons of moving, it wasn't anything good to look at. Her stubborn personality had gotten one of her brothers killed, even more so she had been kicked out because they wouldn't listen to her, which was why.

Kestrelstar Kestrelstar watched the young she-cat as she stood up for a quick moment. It was true, not all cats had the time to pray to Starclan for moons on end, but it was the best hope any cat could have. The leader knew that the situation this cat was in, there was probably something more that was needed. Kestrelstar stood up and moved her body closer to Rivaxorus, looking up at Silverpelt. "There's a warrior code we live by in our lives, and loyalty to your family or clan is the most important, as well as respect. We not may not all have time to pray to Starclan, but we are all as worthy to seek help from them, weather a clan cat or not. If you know Starclan is there, then your faith is reason enough for you to push further and succeed in what you need. Let your heart decide what's right." Kestrelstar mewed, as she smiled at the loner for a quick moment.
"My mother once told me, the best thing you can give is kindness, but what is most important is the trust in listening to others." Kestrelstar sat again, wrapping her tail around Rivaxorus. In times of need, cats needed to help each other out. Starclan was enough to know that their lives were connection by those thin strings that existed into their hearts.

Rivaxorus The calico stopped as Kestrelstar came forward. She felt the soft warmth of the leaders fur and brought a smile to her face. She did speak the truth didn't she. Although Rivaxorus wasn't interested in the clans, it was still the moral support given by a stranger that made her have the hope she needed. Rivaxorus sat as she felt the tail curl around her, the sound of the water, and all this around her, it made her want to keep this in mind forever, for the glow of the moon was beautiful on this night, and even more so on Kestrelstar.
"Your a very kind cat Kestrelstar, a loner could not ask for a more respectful she-cat too have been known in her life." Rivaxorus told her with a smile. It was like she was in her mothers paws again, the warmth. The voice all of it, no wonder this cat was famous, but even more so Rivaxorus would have to be on her way soon, for if any of the other clans caught her, it would be bad news, for the both of them.

Kestrelstar Kestrelstar laughed for a moment, it was time the loner saw her way out of the territory. The leader stood up finally in front of her. "I know it might be a long way around, but you'll have to exit the territory another way, I'll escort you. Yet, feel free to talk at the border with me any time." Kestrelstar told the calico. It was true, Rivaxorus would be welcome any time she wanted. And Kestrelstar would testify if any other cat decided otherwise. The beautiful she-cat turned her head gesturing for the loner to follow her.
Kestrelstar had her fair share of experience. This was none the less, the most surprising visit she had gotten in her life time. It would be something she would have to look forward to in the future no less. The story teller would have to live up to her reputation in the lives of others.
