Cedarkit bounced around the nursery, collecting bits of moss that had separated from the nests and padding them together into a ball. She wasn't hungry or sleepy, which meant she was bored, and this seemed about as fun as anything to do in camp. Besides, if she could find enough moss to tack onto the ball without disassembling the nests it might be large enough to play with.
When she'd gathered all the stray moss, she examined the ball. It was still rather small. Not much good for anything other than batting around, and bating things around got boring after the first few swipes. She poked at it and thought about what to do next.

Robinkit was having a nice dream for once and was woken up by a lot of movement he heard around the nursery. It sounded like someone was still up and walking around doing something. The five moon old white tom with ginger/red tabby patches walked around the nursery slowly as not to wake anyone. Robinkit than saw Cedarkit and walked up to her "What are you doing, Cedarkit." He asked wondering what she was doing up at this time. Well actually he didn't know what time it was and the light was so dim in here that it was hard to tell if it was morning or sun-high. Robinkit looked around with bright green eyes to see if anyone else had woken up from Cedarkit's movement. Luckily his mother hadn't woken up and it looked like the other queens were still sleeping too.

She was still poking at the offendingly small ball of moss when she heard a voice nearby. She turned to see Robinkit watching her. Did she wake him up? Well...if he didn't want to be up he could simply go back to sleep.
"I'm trying to entertain myself," she responded. "It's boring not being able to leave camp without getting into trouble." Not that that had stopped her before, but she'd rather avoid being yelled at right now. Besides, she could behave...usually. She blinked at the tom. "Wanna help, or are you gonna go back to sleep?" Having him around would be more fun than sitting around by herself, even with something to occupy her attention.

Robinkit started to look around for more moss for the ball and he found some on a step up. At five moons old Robinkit was a little big for his age and quickly grabbed the moss from the landing that was in the rock behind the nursery. Moss in jaw's Robinkit made it back over to Cedarkit and dropped it on top of the ball of moss "lets play, but make sure not to wake anyone up." He said smiling at his den mate.

She purred when he started to look for more moss for the ball, taking that as him wanting to play. She continued her own search as he grabbed some moss and dropped it on top of what she had already gathered, managing to find a few more scraps to add. She padded the new moss into the ball and rolled it around a bit so it was properly round. "I think we'll be okay as long as we roll this thing instead of throwing it, and do so away from most of the other nests." She padded a few steps away and sat down, twitching her tail behind her. "Ready?"

Birchkit raised her head up and peered over the edge of the nest she was sleeping in. The two kits across the nursery were strangers to her but seemed to be playing with some sort of moss ball. Her ears perked in interest and she watched them momentarily. Perhaps she could join? She watched for a while longer, trying to get up the courage to ask to join for she was a very shy cat at heart. Perhaps I could...she turned her head mid-thought and snagged some excess moss around the nest for the ball, keeping it firmly in her jaws. With that she rose to her paws and stepped over the edge of the nest nimbly, warily approaching the two other kits. She began to ask if she could join in, but realized her words would only come out as mumbo jumbo. Dropping the moss at her cream colored paws, she offered up a smile, "Can I play?" Her voice was light and hopeful, and her tail tip flicked behind her in anticipation.

Robinkit followed after Cedarkit and sat down as she continued to the other side of him. He listened to her call and nodded his head "I'm ready when you are." He said happily. Robinkit's sister and brother were asleep still. He would have them play too if they were awake, but they weren't and it couldn't be helped. His mother Heatherpetal was tired from taking care of them and doing so alone with only uncle Pinespot to help. Sometimes he wondered what his father was like and if he looked anything like Falconclaw. Heatherpetal has told him many times that he looks like his father only with her eyes. Robinkit sometimes see's the sadness in his mother's eyes when she looks at him and knows that she is thinking of their father. Robinkit tries to make her as happy as he can and to try not to get in to too much trouble at times. Robinkit was pulled from his thoughts at the sound of another voice other than Cedarkit's. He turned around to see shy little Birchkit and smiles "sure the more the merryier." Robinkit said smiling at her. He might be bigger then the two or just older then them, but he still likes to play games that the other kits play.
