Lilypool sighed it was nice to just go out and hunt for herself. She had gone on patrol earlier now she had the evening free. She padded along the river that led to the lake. It wasn't far from camp but she was just relaxing. When Lilypool finally reached the lake she stopped and sat watching the river. When a fish flashed close to the surface she whipped out her her and hooked it throwing it out of the water. With a swift bite she killed it.
The white cat than walked over to a large flat stone on the edge of her territory and laid down on the heated rock and slowly ate her meal. Her head was in the clouds as she day dreamed about Skystar as she ate. She had always dreamed that they would meet here at every chance they could. But she knew it was impossible. The Thunderclan leader had no reason to come down here. The only time she could see him was at the gatherings.

Skystar mewed a few things to his mate Frostbite before leaving camp. The tom needed to go patrolling. He knew the clans were getting antsy and that was only because of the lack of prey in some territories. The best place to start would be the lake. He knew it would give him some clues. Perhaps the two-legs brought their kits again. He raised a brow as he walked slowly watching his paws sink into the warm earthy muck also known as mud.
He lifted his head not only for a second as the air got cooler and he could see the shimmering water . He also let the wretched stink of RiverClan flood his nostrils. Perhaps the stream wasn't providing a good source of prey. He lowered himself to the ground and narrowed his green eyes. However they quickly softened."No....It can't be...." he whispered to himself.
He got closer and saw the white she-cat. Lilypaw is what he used to know her by. However, he didn't really know her warrior name. They were roughly the same age and were made warriors the same time. He didn't recall if Sparrowstar, the leader before Kestrelstar ever announced her name at a gathering. It was sad since he was well aware of the fact that she would know his name. He spoke at Gatherings. He was Skystar leader of ThunderClan. To him, she was just lily something of RiverClan.
He strode closer she was in plain view. He tilted his head to the side and stayed on his side of the lake."How is the prey running in RiverClan?" ThunderClan's noble leader mewed attempting to start a conversation.

Lilypool had finished eating her fish when she spotted the figure in the distance. She blinked could her imagination created him? Was he a figment of her imagination? No it was him her ears pricked up and her heart sped up in excitement. But she took a deep breath knowing he wasn't here for her. He must need to speak with Kestralstar. Standing up she lowered her head respectfully. "Greetings Skystar and prey is running very well. There is plenty of fish in the streams. How about Thunderclan does prey running for you?"
Her heart beet quickly as she yearned to get closer to the leader. But she held herself back. This was the first time they had spoken to one another since they had been made warriors. "Are you here to speak with Kestralstar? I can take you to her if you wish." Was he here for her? No she wished he had a mate and kits. She doubted he even knew her warrior name.
If Skystar looked hard enough he would see the deep sadness that filled her eyes as well as the love she still felt towards him. "The names Lilypool now just encase you didn't know."

Skystar was about to say he already knew her warrior name but that would have been wrong. He let the name lillypool slide in his thoughts and he nodded. The name fit her that's for sure. She was wise and kind. Snowstar made a wise choice with her name. Taking a deep breath he organized his thoughts piecing them together one by one."No I am not here to see Kestrelstar. I was patrolling the area. WindClan have , well ShadowClan as well have been inching towards our territory. I came to investigate the lake to see if two-legs were around But I guess not." Skystar mewed."Thunderclan is doing excellent. My kits were just apprenticed. Timberpaw, my apprentice will be a warrior in three moons or so..." The tom mewed. He looked at her with softened eyes. he misesd her, a lot.

Lilypool nodded and was actually a little upset. She was hoping t just talk with him a bit longer. But if he was on patrol than he probably wouldn't hang about for long. "I'm sorry to hear that we haven't had any such problems here. I'm glad to hear your kits are now paws." There it was again a sharp pain sliced through her heart at the mention of his kits. As an apprentice Lilypool had dreamed of having his kits. But now that she was a warrior she knew that was impossible. he was a leader from another clan. "That is great news have you decided on what name you might give her yet?"
It took her a while before she could even show a hint of her true feelings. "You know Skystar I still think of those days when we where apprentices. I miss them, I miss....you."

Skystar sat down wrapping his tail around his paws. She probably thought other cats form his clan were around but this wasn't the case."It's just me around. ThunderClan patrols don't get sent this far down I promise..' He mewed. he relaxed his stance to show he wasn't all that worried."I have a few moons to decide but she's very delicate. Very kind and gentle. I was thinking Timberflower. He mewed. He rasped his pink tongue around his muzzle and the words that came out next shocked him. She still thought about him? He thought about Frostbite and parted his jaws to speak he had no idea what to say.
"I---I...." Skystar closed his eyes before opening them again and more slowly."There are Times were I wish I could be an apprentice again. I would have more time to sneak over here and talk....just to talk....and enjoy life....like it used to be."

Lilypool thought about the name and what she knew about the apprentice she had seen at the last gathering. She had seemed delicate almost. The name sounded like it would fit her. "I'm sure the name is perfect and when the day comes she will be proud to wear it," she purred softly. It was so nice to talk to Skystar again. Maybe at least now they could meet up once in a while? Or at least talk at the gatherings.
When he said he wished he could sneak over here to talk she smiled and purred louder. "Maybe I can sneak over there from time to time so we can just talk once in a while. I know you are to busy to but as long as my duties get done I could meet you there at the edge of the lake." She knew she was talking to much. What was she thinking the leader had a mate and kits. Why would he want to see her. She had to move on and find a mate of her own.

"I have an apprentice and kits to look after Lilypool. The best time for me to meet would be well after Moonhigh." The tom mewed. He wouldn't be able to do it all the time either. Perhaps once every three or four nights. He had a clan to look after and he had to make sure his apprentice was trained. He knew for a fact she would be made a warrior before his own kits. He needed warriors sooner. He knew His clan would be expecting a lot of kits. Kits would need to be trained. He would need warriors to train them. That's just how it was."I can meet you tomorrow at Moonhigh. We can discuss further plans and places to meet. If we meet in the same place over and over our clans will get suspicious.

Lilypool's eyes saddened at first. She knew he was busy what was she thinking even suggesting it. "Yes of course I'm sorry I shouldn't even of mentioned it." She was caught off guard when he suggested meet her tomorrow and moonhigh. Her eyes lit up with excitement and a purr rumbled through her. "I could do that. I wouldn't be able to do it every day either I have an apprentice of my own. Mosspaw will be a warrior soon probably any day. Her final assessment is coming up."[/n] She nodded agreeing with the fact they couldn't meet in the same place each time. But they could figure that out tomorrow night. Leaping down from her sunning rock she padded to the river and caught a fish and killed it. "Here you should eat you have a long walk back to your clan."

Skystar looked around and then viciously dove into the fish. He hadn't eaten for a few days only because he had been training two apprentices. Things were rough in ThunderClan he just wasn't ready to admit it. He swiped his tongue around his muzzle."Ill meet you the night after the gathering. Kestrelstar and I have a truce at the moment so I don't think she will mind me being close....just be careful not to get caught by my moon high patrol. Ill send them towards Shadowclan but the apprentices get curious sometimes....." Skystar mewed. He started walking towards his own territory."Don't forget!" he mewed before he dissapeared through some reeds.
