Cat's Short Description A light colored snowshoe cat with intense blue eyes.
Cat's Appearance Blizzard is definitely a handsome tom. His fur is mainly white but patches of a soft, almost unnoticeable khaki show up from time to time. That same brown covers his head, going a little past his ears. Then black rings his eyes and the side of his head, ears, and tail. His eyes are a a bright, intense blue. Being a kit, he hasn’t put on the weight that most kittypets have but doesn’t have the intense muscles that clan cats must have. His body will be long and lithe.
Cat's personality In general, he seems pretty adventurous and brave. He likes coming up with imaginative stories to act out in his twoleg nest and would probably enjoy going outside and adventuring too. However, when it comes to other cats, he's terribly shy and tends to clam up a bit. This isn't that odd considering he's only been around twoleg and has rarely even seen others of his kind. If a cat could get to know him, they'd learn that he's sweet and kind-hearted, not too mention able to talk the bark off a tree. What he lacks in social graces, he makes up for in a sweet kind of charm and innocence of the world around him and loves his twolegs greatly and knows how to talk to dogs, thanks to the two his twolegs own.
As an adult, he will have gained more confidence. He's not quite so socially awkward, though he still gets his words tangled around she-cats and generally has a cheerful, at peace air about him. Although he's brave and confident, its not the kind of in-your-face cockiness that can easily get on someone's nerves. He enjoys talking to cats for the most part and will sometimes ramble but generally knows when he's doing it. He's not the type to really care what others think of him and can be a bit of a jokester at times, albeit a laid back one. He's still just as sweet and kind.
Cat's History If you had told the RiverClan cats that one of their leader’s precious kits had survived, they would of thought you were crazy. How could any cat make that mistake? But a series of events and a series of particular cat’s interactions made this possible.
First, let’s start off with the basics. Kestralstar had four kits that fateful night. All four died, including Blizzard. But unlike the others, he breathed his first breathes, and his heart beat for a few moment, so weakly that it was hardly noticeable.
Now, StarClan is not cruel. This cat was RiverClan’s leader. Did she really deserve to lose so much? So, after arguing it over, they decided to grant life back to the tiny kit whose heart beat, who fought for his life. It wasn’t unheard of for a kit to die for a moment before coming back. And that’s what happened. Unfortunately, he did not wake by his mother’s side.
Next, to understand this tale, two other cats have to be brought into the mix. The first is a clan cat by the name of Applepelt. Applepelt was not the smartest cat in clan. He was arguably the stupidest. But he did have a good heart.
The next is a rogue by the name of Gypsy. Gypsy is an intelligent, passionate she-cat, and though she hates boundaries and territory lines, she is generally a good cat.
Applepelt was the cat charged with burying two of the kits. He took Blizzard and his sister and did as he was talk. He took them to the edge of the territory, where it was less likely that their mother would come across the freshly turned dirt of their graves. He placed them down gently and began digging. It was then that he heard a kit’s weak mewls. Astonished, he turned to see Blizzard squirming.
This is where things really went wrong. If Applepelt had decided to take the kit straight back to its mother, things would of been fine. But he didn’t want to leave the other kit’s body there, so he quickly continued digging.
Gypsy just happened to show up at the wrong time. She saw the clan cat tom digging a grave, two kits by his side, one mewling pitifully and weakly. She had only heard rumors of the clan cats, and they were nothing good. Jumping to conclusions she attacked-and beat-the tom.
She took the live kit, thinking quickly and frantically. She didn’t know any queens, not anywhere close. She certainly wouldn’t be able to do anything for it. So, she did the next best thing. She found a twoleg home, one she knew had kind twolegs in it, and scratched and mewed at the door until they came out. The moment she heard them coming, she set the kit down and ran.
The twolegs took him in, bottle fed him, and he’s been there ever since. Gypsy visits him from time to time but has never told him the story of how she found him.
There’s only one final thread to tie up. Applepelt. He wanted to tell his leader, but how do you tell a cat you let their only kit be taken away? He was probably dead anyhow. Still the guilt ate away at him. He decided he would tell her but it took him a while to gather the courage. Within that moon, however, he died, and his secret died with him.
