W H I S P E R C L A W The sleek and slender she-cat padded gently through the camp, her razor sharp claws sheathed, tail gently sweeping back and forth behind her. It was a fairly peaceful day in Shadowclan territory, without much excitement. The freshkill pile seemed to be in good condition, the sun was beating down as best as it could on the cool camp, and no battles had happened yet.
She perched on her haunches a few tail-lengths away from the fresh-kill pile, golden orbs flickering around to peer at the camp. Her loyalty to the camp was strong, and she had vowed to protect it - and it members - to the best of her abilities. For now she was quite content to perch at her position and keep a watchful eye on the members.

The ginger and brown tom padded in with a large crow clamped in his jaws. He dropped it in the pile and ruffled out his fur. Robinflight raised a brow as he looked at Whisperclaw. He seemed to see her just watching everyone on a regular basis. With a snort he just shook his head and continued on. Stretching his limbs he touched noses with a few of his friends but couldn't help but feel he was being watched. The fur on his neck began to rise and the newly made warrior turned around.
Whisperclaw was still watching. He raised a brow and muttered a few words to himself. The ginger and brown tom padded up to the she-cat and sat down right next to her."Does the loyal deputy have anything else to do today besides watching everyone. You don't find sitting here all perched and content rather odd?"

W H I S P E R C L A W My golden eyes soon picked up Robinflight entering the camp with fresh kill clamped between his jaws. My ears soon picked up the sound of his snort, something I was sure I wasn't supposed to hear. My ears flicked as if to pretend that they hadn't heard the sound at all, although the sound itself and the meanings behind it failed to slip out if my mind.
In fact, I was so lost in contemplating this thought that I didn't notice when the Tom came to perch beside me, an expression on his face that I couldn't understand the meaning of. Truthfully a lot of things were lost on me as of late. His voice snapped me out of my confusing thoughts and I tilted my head to listen, eyes boring into his. I knew his observation on the oddity of my actions was somewhat true, but I gave a shrug of my shoulders in response. "What I find odd is a noble warrior questioning his clan's deputy's actions. On another note, no, I have nothing else to do. No apprentice to train and the only upcoming duty today is patrol at sun high." my words were abrupt, yes. I knew as soon as I spoke them that they must have appeared as myself being rude, but this was not the case. I was known to be abrupt and coming back with words as sharp as my claws.

Robinflight gave her a quizzical look but didn't question her words. He knew that the deputy had a tongue as sharp as claws and very rarely did he question it. Well rarely did he question it out loud. He tended to keep his thoughts about the she-cat to himself. She wasn't a bad warrior. She was strong and loyal and...his thought trail ended when she called him a noble warrior. Was that a comment and an insult? If so she was being sly with her words. A cunning she-cat she was.
The russet and ginger tom raised a brown and just nodded. He knew exactly how she felt. He didn't have an apprentice either and chances were he wouldn't anytime soon."There are no apprentices too train. The queens in the clan just recently had kits. It will be a few moons before there will be any training to do. Then again you could always practice your skills. I battle train with Minnowpool once in awhile."

W H I S P E R C L A W I nodded my head gently as he mentioned he didn't have an apprentice. In fact, apprentice were almost the sort of thing the clan needed at the moment. Some eager kits willing to serve their clan. Not that I was a cruel, heartless cat who only wanted them as warriors. Truthfully, the kits of the clan were one of the few things that brought me happiness.
Robinflight went on to talk about practicing fighting and what not. The borders had seemed a little inactive as of late and the prey practically jumped into your jaws. It almost seemed like the camp was falling asleep lately. "I see. Are you engaged at the moment?" I inquired. The idea of practice fighting seemed quite endearing now and I had some time on my paws.
