Runningbrook The forest was still. All was still. Only .. it could be awoken even if a pin-dropped. Trees swayed against the unforgiving wind. The strong taste of leaves wafted the air. What was that? A shadow? Crunch! Suddenly, she was back into reality. Runningbrook's nimble paws bounced across the ground. Her paws tingled with each stop. Her strong muscles bunched against the new leaf sun. As the winter snow melted away, and small plants poked their stems out of the ground, prey also drifted around the small territory. It wasn't fair! SkyClan had almost no territory.
She noticed a plump mouse on the ground, and she bent over, about to pounce. She wasn't herself today. She just felt unneeded in the clan. Oh well. She felt like she had no friends. She pounced, and then tripped, and landed right next to her prey.. that quickly scurried away. No, but no. Not without a quick, eek, before disappearing into the undergrowth. "Mousedung!" she growled. She swiped at empty air, her green eyes confused and empty. She was lost. She slowly inched towards a rock and slithered up on it. She laid there. Maybe she could squeeze in a nap.

The tom generally didn't wonder this far. He closed his eyes and let the wind play with his fur. For some reason when he closed his eyes, he could see SkyClan thriving like the once did, not having to fight with loners and rogues for prey. When he opened his eyes he saw the same forest, green leaves, large trees, except there was something different. That was the truth. The truth seemed to ruin everything. Then again would there every be a time when the truth did something good? More than likely not.
He spotted the she-cat through the bushes and undergrowth. He watched Runningbrook with a curious eye before stepped back. Like many cats in the clan he didn't notice her interact with many and it honestly made him curious. Cats like that normally had a a story to tell, and their stories were normally fascinating. His gaze followed her movement. She seemed distressed. Her hunting skills weren't up to par he had seen her do better. He blinked and his eyes softened. It was just a mouse.....
""Runningbrook." comestrike pushed himself through the thick bushes. He closed his eyes to avoid getting scathed by briars."You look distressed what's bothering you? The tom mewed sincerely.

how could she had been so stupid? ignoring that faint scent of cat .. well it ended up being cometstrike. she remembered moons ago when he decided to join skyclan. she didn't disapprove, he would be a nice addition to the clan. she couldn't help but notice how big he was. so muscular. the ideal cat, to say the least. she noticed how he had been following her and couldn't help but want to call him out for it. she didn't though because there was something about him ... something ... she opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. "You are truly an idiot." she thought softly to herself.
"Runningbrook." her name sounded like honey on his tongue. "You look distressed what's bothering you?" Her eyes looked into his, right before he closed them. Such a deep blue .. so piercing so ..
Did her eyes look so beautiful? So convincing? Surely he could fool her into anything at this point. Such ocean-blue eyes! It was like heaven! Stupid! Talk! She opened her mouth but nothing came out. "Speak, fool." she cried in her mind. So she bunched up all her courage.
"i'm-i'm okay." she stuttered, quickly recovering. "why have you wandered so far?"
distance yourself, runningbrook. those are loner eyes. maybe he'll trick you into something.

Cometstrike was about to step forward. After looking at her stance he stopped. He pulled his ears back and let his tail hit the forest floor."why is she acting so defensive? I am not here to hurt her. I am a SkyClan warrior just as much as she is....is it my breath? Is my fur ungroomed? does she not like me?" Cometstrike took a few paces backwards and looked at her with soft eyes.
"I....I like to take walks sometimes...that's all." Comestrike mewed. Then again why was she this far away. He raised a brow. Should he really have joined SkyClan? Clearly he wasn't wanted here."I like to be alone sometimes....to think about my life...it just so happens I found you...."

she was so excited for her first battle. she rushed into the group of cats and sliced and growled and did everything she could. though her moves were sloppy, she knew she was kicking butt! as she quickly looked around to see her mentor and her sister, she noticed a heap of fur on the ground. black, just like her sister. she kept fighting, ignoring the feeling of worry. her sister was a warrior.. she could help herself, right? she stopped fighting just to make sure, just to be safe. apple.. applepaw! she was lying on the ground. surely taking a nap.. right? wrong. her green eyes swelled up with tears and she ran towards the small heap of fur. she licked it. "oh applepaw, you'll be okay. we'll go home and talk to our mother, and toss the moss around. like old times! before we started fighting .." she knew though. she licked the fur more and more, smoothing it down, nudging it. only .. it was a dead weight. she was gone. she laid next to her sister until her mother was sent to find her and applepaw. they must've thought they had run off together or that both of them died.. but applepaw was gone. her sister was gone. before they made up from their many fights. she had to face harsh reality.
runningbrook opened her eyes and couldn't help but feel terrible for him. she knew she had to get over her sister's death she just couldn't. it wasn't time to forget her. she noticed him start to back away from her and her heart tore a little. what was that? an attraction? no. it couldn't be. she felt terrible for him. how could she not trust him? her eyes searched his, and she felt warm under his soft gaze. "I....I like to take walks sometimes...that's all." she nodded her head. "I-I'm so-rr-rry." she cried, "I'm not suspecting you of anything." she avoided his gaze in embarrassment. her face felt hot at this point. the problem was, she wanted him here! maybe a little too much .. "I like to be alone sometimes....to think about my life...it just so happens I found you...."
I-I," she sighed. time to buck up. "I'm sorry I'm so shy. I can't help it. And I'm sorry I'm so shallow, I don't mean it. Really, I want you here." she said quietly. she took steps towards him, close enough for her to touch her nose to his. her green eyes sparkled with embarrassment and fear. fear of the outcome of this.
