Stormpaw woke up rather early. Blinking his eyes open he stretched and yawned. He glanced around the den seeing everyone was still asleep he padded out of the den and towards the tunnel entrance. He had just been made an apprentice the night before and hasn't even been out of the camp yet. Pushing through the thorns he poked his nose out on the other side. He opened his mouth and scented the area. All he could scent was trees, moss and a slight tang of prey. While his head poked out one side his tail and part of his back could still be seen in the camp.

Timberpaw yawned and stretched as she woke up way earlier than she had intended. Her first instinct was to simply go back to sleep, and it would have been quite easy to do so since her moss was still new and comfortable, but then she realized that she should have pressed against someone during her stretch. Instead, paws brushed over empty moss.
Odd...did one of the other apprentices go out on dawn patrol, or something?
Curious, now, she exited the den and looked around the camp. It was eerily quiet at this time of day, but she tried not to let that bother her. Everyone was still around, they were just sleeping. That was why it was so quiet.
But oh, wait, there was someone. Well...half a someone. Even though she could only see the tail and part of the back, she recognized the cat as Stormpaw. It was his empty nest that she had disturbed. But...what was he doing?
She padded to the tom, making a little more noise than normal in an attempt to keep from startling him, and stopped near his hindquarters. "You're up early."

Stormpaw was just about to go a little further when he heard a set of paw steps padding towards him. They where to light for a warrior and to heavy for a kit. So he figured it must be one of the other apprentices. It would either be one of his siblings or Timberpaw who he slept next to. Turning around in the tunnel wasn't easy and snatched a couple clumps of fur before he finally tugged himself completely free. He wasn't surprised to find it was Timberpaw and not one of his siblings.
Unlike usual he didn't feel any shyness towards Timberpaw. They had grown up together in the nursery. Smiling he purred lightly. "I'm sorry did I wake you Timberpaw? I just couldn't wait to look and see what was outside of camp. My mentor won't be up for a while still. Have you been outside of camp yet?"

She watched as the young tom turned, impressed that he was able to do that much. She would have had to take her chances backing out, or go all the way through and then back the way she had come.
He purred at her, and she purred in response. "I woke up on my own and noticed you were gone, so I was wondering what was up. I'm glad it's nothing bad." When he asked if she had been outside of camp yet, she nodded. "Yeah, but I didn't go all that far..." And it wasn't the best of experiences, with that really creepy loner hanging about. "As long as you're not on a dawn patrol, I don't think they'll mind if we have a little look around."

Stormpaw blinked his grey blue eyes lit up when she purred. He didn't know why but he always felt so happy when around Timberpaw. He considered her his best friend.
"I'm glad I didn't wake up up. And no nothing bad just curiosity." When Stormpaw heard she had been outside already a flare of jealousy hit him. But it didn't last long. She had been made an apprentice a few days before him so of course she would have already left camp. She probably knew all the borders by now to.
Stormpaw's ears pricked up when she mentioned that it should be ok to look around. "Yea and as long as we don't wonder to far we should be able to hear if our mentors call for us." Turning to face the tunnel he grabbed a thorny branch gingerly with his teeth so it wouldn't scrape Timberpaw and waited for her to pad through the tunnel.

Timberpaw nodded at his response. "I know what you mean. I get curious, too. I can't wait until I've seen the entire territory." And the island where they gathered during the full moon. Her first gathering was definitely something she was looking forward to.
She purred as he went on. "Staying in our mentors' hearing range probably would be best. I'm sure we'll be able to go anywhere on the territory by ourselves eventually, but we were kits recently and you know how the warriors and queens worry." She purred. "Right, so...." She tried to think of a good line of landmarks, but she still wasn't that familiar with everything. "We'll try to keep the camp in view, I guess." She ducked a bit as she passed under the branch that Stormpaw held for her and waited for him on the other side.

Adderpaw always woke earlier than everyone else. What was the point of sleeping the day away? So as soon as she had woken, Adderpaw had crept out of the den as into the forest, deciding to practice her tree climbing. Her sharp claws let her easily shimmy up the tree closest to the camp entrance and leap from tree branch to tree branch. Climbing trees was the best. It always made her feel like a squirrel or a bird. Enjoying the newleaf breeze, Adderpaw took a seat on one of the thicker branches, listening to the birds chirping. Suddenly, she heard some movement in camp. Pricking her ears and standing up, Adderpaw peered over the camp walls to see who it was. Spotting two apprentices, Stormpaw first an Timberpaw following, Adderpaw grinned, her eyes flashing with curiosity. Leaping from branch to branch to get a closer look, she tensed her muscles, waiting for the right moment to pounce. As soon as Timberpaw padded underneath her, she dropped. Using her tail to steer, Adderpaw landed right on the younger apprentice's shoulders. "Heeeello!" she chirped, grinning. She hopped off Timberpaw quickly, not wanting to hurt her, and turned to the two young apprentices. "If you need someone to show you around the territory, I would be more than happy to give you a tour." Her eyes glittered with glee.

Stormpaw nodded he was glad that Timberpaw felt the same way. He didn't want his mentor to get angry with him. As he started to fallow Timberpaw he heard a light thump just outside the barrier and thought her heard Timberpaw gasp. Afraid someone had attacked her he leaped out of the entrance and ski9idded to a halt looking wild eyed ready to help him friend. But instead he saw Adderpaw. Stormpaw sighed with relief and shook his head. "Don't scare us like that Adderpaw. I thought someone or something had attacked Timberpaw." Making his fur lie flat he gave himself a shake. He was just glad Timberpaw was ok.

She was just about to start deeper into the woods with something collided into her from above. She let out a startled gasp - vaguely aware of another, friendlier voice above her - and attempted to roll away, but the weight was already off of her. She stood and shook her pelt, and then noticed Adderpaw. A moment later, she realized the voice she had heard belonged to the more experienced apprentice.
Stormpaw rebuked Adderpaw, and Timberpaw blinked at him. It was sweet how he had worried, and she let a purr escape her. "Although I did deserve it for not being on my guard." She turned to Adderpaw. "That was impressive. I never noticed you coming until it was too late. I'm glad we're in the same clan. As for a tour..." She glanced at Stormpaw. "What do you think? She knows the territory way more than we do." And the more the merrier, as far as Timberpaw was concerned.

Adderpaw stifled a purr of amusement at Stormpaw's anger, "Oh, I'm just having a bit I fun." she waved off his reprimand with a flick of the tail and a shrug of the shoulders, "Don't be so worried, Thunderclan territory is perfectly safe this close to camp. You have nothing to fear... except for the giant man-eating badger that's on the loose, of course. But I'm sure you'll be fine." Adderpaw teased, turning towards Timberlaw as she began to speak. "I'm flattered," she laughed, "Thank you! I'll show you everywhere; the lake, the Ancient Oak, the borders..." This was making her excited. She always enjoyed showing others around the territory. She awaited Stormpaw's response eagerly, although she was planning on going even if he said no.

Stormpaw thought about the other to show them the territory. He really didn't think he should that's his mentors job. And he thought Timberpaw agreed with him to stay close to camp encase they called for them. He looked at Timberpaw and saw the excitement shine in her eyes. Taking a deep breath he nodded. "Ok lets go," he sure wasn't going to leave Timberpaw alone with another apprentice. At least with all three of them they had a chance if a fox or dog or something attacked them. When she mentioned the man eating badger he rolled his eyes. The warriors wouldn't let any badger stray into their territory.

Timberpaw's eyes brightened when the elder apprentice offered to show them everything. She turned to Stormpaw to see his reaction, hoping he'd agree to go. He seemed like he might be a bit apprehensive, and she purred. "It's okay if we're with an older apprentice who's already had battle training and everything, I'm sure. We can make sure to leave a scent trail, if you're worried, so they can still find us easily." She turned back to Adderpaw. "I'm ready when the two of you are!" She kneaded the ground in front of her, eager to get a proper view of the territory.

Adderpaw could feel Stormpaw's reluctance, but she didn't let it ruffle her fur. Timberpaw's eagerness made up for Stormpaw's unwillingness, so Adderpaw swished her tail happily. This cat would certainly be a good friend. Grinning, Adderpaw started off immediately, deciding that the Windclan border would be best to show first. "Come on then, you two. I'll show you Windclan first!" she immediately bounded off, glancing over her shoulder to see if they were following as she neared the moor. It didn't feel like a long walk for her, but it might be a trek for Stormpaw and Timberpaw. Once she got near the border, she stopped and waited for the two apprentices, keeping her ears pricked in anticipation that something exciting would happen.

Stormpaw wasn't about to let Timberpaw go off alone. "Ok I'll go to," who knows maybe it will actually be fun. Stormpaw bounded off after Adderpaw but made sure he never went to far ahead of Timberpaw. Once they reached the Windclan border he wrinkled his nose. "Aw that smells awful do the other clans smell this bad? If so i don't want to meet them." Stormpaw took a step back and shook his head. Why couldn't the other clans smell like Thunderclan? Turning to Timberpaw he frowned, "does it smell this bad to you to?"

Adderpaw swished her tail in happiness and Timberpaw kneaded the ground in front of her, eager to get started. Stormpaw agreed to go, and - after that - she didn't have to wait long - the elder apprentice was off almost immediately. Timberpaw sprinted to catch up and fell in behind/beside the other she-cat looking around and taking in everything she could.
"WindClan...the rabbit eaters, right?" She remembered nursery tales of the other clans and wondered just how many of them were true. They all had a basis in truth, she was sure, but tales did tend to get exaggerated as time went on.
Adderpaw stopped and Timberpaw stopped beside her, looking around. Stormpaw commented on the scent and she had to agree. It was...rank. When he asked if it smelled so bad to her, she nodded. "Maybe if you're born into it, you grow used to it."
