Kestrelstar [/size]
The night seemed to be darker then ever. The moon was out, but it just seemed so quiet. Kestrelstar had asked Pebbleshine to come with her to visit Starclan, because more then ever her kits death was bothering her. It might have been on a personal level, but she would look to her skyland friends for guidance, so her clan wasn't left with a broken leader. Kestrelstar wanted to know for certain for the fact, if a mother could truly move on after the kits she had hoped for the future was gone. The dark she-cat passed over the large hill of rocks. Her claws catching the deep sharp ends, although it didn't pierce her soft paw pads. Making sure Pebbleshine was behind her, the she-cat stopped at the top of the hill.
Kestrelstar soon made her way into the small cave, where the moonpool was shining. Her reflection in the water, as a half no less, made her think of her mate for a moment. Kestrelstar shook the thought away and turned herself to the medicine cat. "I'm sorry for dragging you out here for this Pebbleshine. It seems like such a foolish reason to consult Starclan for." She spoke with clarity, but softly, against the small moon that shined against the light blue water.

Pebbleshine's gaze wandered - like it tended to do - as she and Kestrelstar made their way to the moonpool. This was nothing new to her, what with the half-moon visits she'd been doing since she was six moons old, but it never ceased to amaze her whenever she came into contact with StarClan. In fact, she looked even more forward to StarClan encounters since her mentor's death. She missed him...probably more than she should.
She knew perfectly well that this wasn't a routine or pleasure visit. Kestrelstar was seeking guidance concerning her kits. It was a heartbreaking story, and Pebbleshine could certainly understand. She herself had never had kits or a mate, but it must be devastating to lose either.
They reached the moonpool and Kestrelstar apologized for dragging her out. Pebbleshine shook her head. "Nonsense. This is as important as anything. More so, actually. No one in the clan - River or Star - could possibly fault you."

Kestrelstar smiled for a moment, flicking her tail. Her clan, all the cats she knew, there were always a big help. The she-cat turned to the water, looking at her reflection and took in a deep breath. Let's get this over with shall we? She thought for a moment. Her paws dragged forward as she lapped up the water and splayed herself out on the bank, setting her head at the edge of the pool. Her blue intense eyes flickered out like a fire as she closed them. Letting the dream come to her, as she felt like she had plunged into the lake, into another world of other sorts.
Kestrelstar was a leader with a past, one that couldn't be signified as well, happy, but the character she built of herself was off of faith of everything that reflected her life. She felt her brothers death as a kit was her fault, because of how much they fought, and that they didn't have a good relationship, then there was her sister, who died by protecting the clan from a fox, after she had discovered she was pregnant with her mate's kits no less Kestrelstar had felt devastated, but she showed her strength through a smile. Kestrelstar's mate was a cat to look at, a loner, who wondered here and there, it had seemed though, he hated attachments, so as soon as he discovered he was a father he upt and left her. Almost dieing of a broken heart, her kits died, all stillborn. Yet, a feeling nagged at her, from nearly only a moon or two ago, what if a kit was alive, because Starclan had been so silent, perhaps there was some answers to be had.

The comment had made her leader smile, and for that Pebbleshine was pleased. Kestrelstar deserved every bit of happiness she could find. The medicine cat knew much of what had happened to her leader. It was a heartbreaking tale of death and regrets that still plagued her even after all this time. She also knew why they were here and had agreed wholeheartedly to coming to StarClan. Granted, that was her first instinct for every problem she encountered. Other cats were stronger. This was something big, though. This was something that required their starry ancestors.
Once Kesrelstar lapped at the water and fell asleep, Pebbleshine followed suit, entering the other world that was so familiar to her by now. She hung back a bit, gazing around while they waited for StarClan to enter, ready to assist in whatever way she could.

Swallowkit stepped out of the starry clouds and into the view of her big sister who was now leader. His little kit tail lashed back and foreth and sat down waiting for her to come to him.
Sitting still his eyes fell on the cat next to his sister. Raising an eyebrow he gave a msall laugh and then went back to her sister. "Well i guess your looking.. good. and alive.." he mewed still looking at his sister. "I'll give you two moons before you come here and join me. it's quite alright up here but it gets borning i guess. not sure if you care at all seeing you have a billion cats to worry about other then the dead ones that rest above you." Shifting his paws he tilted his head to the sie and asked, "Did your butt get bigger?"

Kestrelstar stood on a thin layer of stars, as she watched the familiar face of her brother pop out. She hadn't seen him in ages, but she had seen him when getting her nine lives out in the crowd. Of course he was sour as always, she rolled her eyes and stood forward. "Nice to see you too brother" she replied to everything that he had said in a group. After all, she didn't really have a comment on did your butt get bigger. "I assume you already know what I'm looking for, seeing as you see everything that goes on now." She mildly snorted. Obviously, Pebbleshine hadn't seen her like this, she only acted this way around her brother. When he was alive, it was the same.
Swallowkit and Kestrelstar had never gotten along, he was a strong trying to be proud tom who always wanted to outshow his sister. The two of them were constantly being pulled apart by their father, so during the cave in with only sweet little Jayheart to pull them apart, Swallowkit got the short end of the stick and was crushed by the falling rocks. He looked healthy here though, even though, still forever a kit.

Yeah i know why your here. i'm not stupid. For having a sister like you I'm shocked you would do something like that. I see you brought your healer with you. not sure why but okay I guess I'll have to roll with it.
Swallowkit looked at both the she cats and then took in a breath and mewed, The one you seek is not with in the forest. yet in in a place you refuse to call home. Yet they do.
Swallowkit licked his paw and drew it over his ear and then looked at his sister. It wasnt easy to know right off the back but deep down, this kit had faith in his sister and knew she could find who she was looking for. Swallkit would give anything to be back with his sister. sadly life didnt work that way.

Pebbleshine watched the encounter, knowing her surprise at the interactions was more than noticeable. She had never seen her leader acting this way, and she had certainly never seen a StarClan cat be so...mean wasn't quite the right word. Teasing? Perhaps... But then, her own visits with StarClan usually involved her deceased mentor, and the two had always had a particularly close relationship.
The medicine cat forced herself to remain quiet and not defend the leader This was a sibling thing, and Kestrelstar likely wouldn't thank her for interfering. She was there if she happened to be required for anything, but otherwise she was simply a spectator, at least for this portion of their quest.

Kestrelstar kept her emotion of welling happiness in check to give Swallowkit a glare, this was actually quiet funny. He was so small now and to thing they would fight over the most stupid of things when they were younger. Kestrelstar smiled at her brother for a moment. "Loyalty and friendship are what keep the bonds of the clan together my dear brother. She noted, on why she had brought Pebbleshine in the first place.
"IF, that's all you have to say, I'll be taking my leave now" Kestrelstar left an big If on the sentence as she turned her body around. She wanted to wait until they got out of the Moonpool to explode with these new found feelings of joy, that seemed to be mending her heart slightly at the seems.

"That actually is all i have to say so you can take your leave now and go back to a home that you know you have and grow old and keep having that butt get bigger and hope prey runs well yeah yeah yeah.." Swallowkit grumbled. He hated his job. But he was happy to see his sister once in a while.
After watching her turn her back Swallowkit then raced up to her sister and nuzzled her flank ever so gently. with eyes closed he took in his sisters sweet sent and then took a step back and raced away into the starry clouds leaving the medicine cat and leader alone.

Kestrelstar watched her little brother until he finally left. She shook her head with a bit of a laugh, smiling at well. Her brother, hadn't changed a bit in all these moons. Yet, an unfound welled happiness was found within her now, one of her kits might be alive, but in an unkown place. The she-cat turned to Pebbleshine. Nodding her head as she closed her eyes, and a feeling of air rushed down her spine.
Kestrelstar fluttered her eyes open in the cave. The water sparkling against her eyes as she raised herself. Stretched from the odd stone feeling of almost feeling like she had died. Although she was sure she'd have that feeling eventually, still having all her lives in tact after all. The leader turned to the entrance, and nearly screamed. "HA, WELL That's something to find out" She giggled, flicking her tail as she let out a pur., She was the happiest cat in the forest at the moment.

Pebbleshine continued to watch the two siblings interact, torn between confusion and amusement at their antics. Her leader seemed almost like a different cat around the tiny tom. They acted something like enemies, though there was affection buried under the supposed scorn, and she purred when she watched the brother nuzzle his sister before leaving.
Her eyes closed and then opened to show the pool and the world they inhabited. She turned to Kestrelstar, watching her carefully. She needn't have worried - the leader was happier than she had been in a long time. Pebbleshine looked around, admiring the view. She knew this place well enough, but it still a more rare sight than her clan's territory.
Pebbleshine nodded as Kestrelstar spoke. "What do you wish to do now?"

Well, first thing they had to do, was figure out what the message meant, the one she was looking for was alive, but somewhere, where they call home but they didn't. The leader turned to the medicine cat and raised her head. "Well we can't just randomly send out a patrol, but we need to find out exactly where the kit is located. Have any ideas?"
Kestrelstar was hoping the medicine cat had some sort of idea as to where it could be. The leader thought of maybe the loners junkyard, but that was too savage for a kit to live, unless a rogue had taken it in, which was unlikely in all circumstances.

Pebbleshine followed re leader out of the cave and nearly collided with her when she stopped. Fortunately, she managed to catch herself in time and sat down to listen as Kestrelstar spoke. She nodded when the other she-cat said they couldn't just send out a patrol, but they needed to find out exactly where the kit was. When she asked if she - Pebbleshine - had any ideas, the medicine cat thought. Where could a lost kit be kept alive without parents?
"Well...from what I've heard, a twoleg can keep a kit safe and alive so long as it's already been weaned...and perhaps before? No one knows the exact powers a twoleg possesses, but it wouldn't come as a surprise to me..." She considered other options. "A rogue isn't usually likely to take anything in. They tend to care for themselves above all others, so...the only other thing I can think of is that the kit was taken in by another clan. If you like, I can try to walk in the dreams of the other medicine cats at the next half moon?"
