Kestrelstar's body felt forever heavy, floating on a solid part of the sky that wasn't even there. As the she-cat's eyes suddenly opened, she jumped up in alarm, only to have a shot of pain travel through her entire body. She was sore specially in her chest, and she was in Pebbleshine's den. The last thing she remembered was being at the gathering, when Frostbite had been bearing kits. Blinking in confusion the she-cat tilted her head for a moment, searching the den to suck in her surroundings. That was right, Frostbite had died, Skystar, a lover to the she-cat, and he had lost something. Kestrelstar pelt another pain, but more of a needle stuck inside of her heart, as she attempted to stand, only to fall down again awkwardly, splaying her paws out to try and catch her balance. She would need just a tiny bit more rest before she would be able to stand again.
The leader flicked her tail, as she remembered crying, and why was that? It wasn't even her mate, it wasn't even her life, but it had brought back the same pain as before had it not, and had sent her into oblivion. She felt her father in her side, yelling at her for being such an idiot. Kestrelstar sighed as she curled up into a ball and shuddered, she looked to see Pebbleshine was not here yet and scratched hard into the dirt with frastration, letting a whimper escape deep in her throat as a tear fell down her fluffy cheek, she was a mess for sure. Yet, that would fix itself in more time. Kestrelstar relaxed after hoping Pebbleshine hadn't thought of the leader weak after what happened last night. Though, the leader was thankful, no attention was payed to her, as for Frostbite, Kestrelstar hoped to see her in a spot in Starclan. "May the odds be forever in your favor" Kestrelstar whispered for a moment, taking in a deep breath, letting it out with another shiver.
