Maplestar popped out of his den and stretched. He knew it was time to assign mentors to the young apprentices. They were getting under his paws and he didn't like it."Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!" he mewed. He watched as the clan gathered before him. With a curt nod het let out a warm purr. It was time. He had everything planned out thigns would go well today.
It's time to give Birchpaw, Fernpaw,Robinpaw,and
Rosepaw mentors. Vipermoon, you are skilled in many arts from many clans, you do not fear what others do, you are my strongest warrior, you will mentor Rosepaw. I expect that you will pass everything you know and cherish close including your loyalty to Rosepaw." The tom mewed. His eyes then fell on Fernpaw.He knew who she would have for a mentor.
""My lovely Sister Aspenfrost. You are wise, caring, and gentle. You are an excellent hunter and know what's best for Shadowclan. I want you to pass these wonderful traits to Fernpaw. Make her an excellent warrior as you are." two apprentices down one to go. He looked Birchpaw and Robinpaw. Oh these matches would be interesting.
"Terncall, you have proved your strength and wisdom in many battles. I want you to pass on your fearless strength and loyalty to Birchpaw. May Birchpaw become a mighty warrior with strength that no one but you holds." he paused."My dear brother Lichenthorn, may you pass down your cunning ways of tracking and fighting to Robinpaw. You will certainly not dissapoint me whe the time to make these warriors comes."
He looked at his clan. The next thing was a tough choice. So many wonderful warriors to pick from."That being said the time to pick the new deputy is now. Shadowclan's new deputy will be Vipermoon!"
