The sun was out and high in the sky. There were some clouds in the sky and that was just how she liked it. Finding a smooth stone coming out from the ground, Skyfire couldnt help but rest on the warm rock and look out into the field. In the distance she saw a twoleg play his dog. They werent a threat. They didnt see her and the dog seemed well trained and never strayed too far from its twoleg. She wasnt worried one bit, but was always on the edge with this kind of stuff.
Refusing to close her eyes she knew they had to stay opened just incase anything had to happen. Her head then turned to her left and saw a bird in the field not far from her with its back turned to her. Skyfire blinked a few times and waited. She quietly got up from the rock and stalked the bird. She stayed very low to the ground and even though she had black and white fur in her, silence what was she needed. Pressing herself low to the ground she waited. The bird didnt see her and started to hop to her still looking for food. giving a small smile, she then took her chance and leaped up catching the bird right before it was going to fly away. Giving it a bite in the neck, she kept one paw on the dead flightless bird and smiled to herself. Never as an apprentice had she caught a bird before. Starclan was on her side today. Thank you Starclan she thought. She picked up the bird and looked to see if the twoleg and its dog were still playing and thankfully they were but even further now. No need to get worried. She looked up at the sky and then slowly started to padd back to the camp.
