Skystar didn't want to have to do this. The one thing he never dreamed of doing. The frail gray leader stepped on the large stone that looked over his clan."Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!" the tom called. He looked down as he cats began to gather before him. Apprentices, warriors, elders,queens, the one thing that was missing was his mate. He didn't like that idea, but what else was he going to do. She was done for.
"As you know Frostbite was kidnapped. We don't know by who,but I have a guess....CrimsonStar!" he called. His eyes narrowed and his claws unsheathed when his name rang across the clearing."We have sent numurous patrols looking for our medicine cat and nothing has been found. We don't know where Crimsonstar and his goons are located...the best we could do was warn a WindClan patrol. If they scented him.....they told us they would look and let us know by the next gathering or if they find a good trail, a warrior would come to our territory to let us know, so please do not attack any WindCLan cat who crosses the boarder. Until then, we are Medicine cat less...." he mewed."I know very little about herbs so don't do anything wreckless..." he added.
Skystar let out another sigh."Not only do we not have a medicine cat, but this afternoon Fawnpaw found Tigerflight. She found Tigerflight mangled and murdered in the abandoned two-leg house. He reeked of Rogue. This I think has Crimsonstar written all over it. He is knocking us down and we can't let him do that!" he yowled."From now on, warriors will train apprentices, we will make them good warriors, our patrols will be doubled. We will win this war....!" He called.
Cats cheered left and right. He was enraged however. His clan was falling apart. Crimsonstar was feared by many. "In Tigerflights name, the time to pick the new deputy is now. Stormwind will be the new deputy of ThunderClan!" Skystar mewed looking down at the tom who had helped him through this perilous time. He waited for the cheers to die down before he looked at three apprentices. It was time for them to receive their mentors was it not?
"Silverpaw, Blazingpaw, and Timberpaw. You have all more than reached your 6th moon of age and it is time for you to receive your mentors." he started."Fawnwhisker, you are ready for your first apprentice, as you request, you will mentor young silverpaw. Please pass your patience and diginity on to this lovely apprentice." he mewed. "Hollyshadow, you are fierce, and noble. Please pass on your strength, and nobility on to Blazingpaw." he mewed with a tired tone."Finally young Timberpaw....I will be your mentor." he jumped down and touched noses with his young apprentice. He then looked up.
There is one more ceremony I would like to perform before patrols...break out.'" he mewed. "Fawnpaw please step forward." he mewed. "You have done many things for this clan Fawnpaw. You did the right thing today. Your mentor Tigerflight would have wanted you to be a warrior, and I see a warrior in you." he mewed."I Skystar leader of ThunderClan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. she has trained hard to learn the many ways of your noble code. Fawnpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code even at the cost of your life?" he mewed. When he heard the she-cat speak he nodded before resting his head on the she-cats shoulder."Then in the eyes of StarClan and your previous mentor Tigerflight I give you your warrior name. From this moment on Fawnpaw, you will be known as Fawncloud. May Starclan welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan!"
