Ambergaze sighed. Inside the nursery, she got a bit bored sometimes. She decided to go for a little walk, just in camp. Her almond-shaped brown eyes sparkled beautifully, knowing it was almost new-leaf. "Ah, new-leaf..."she sighed, then lied down under a willow tree, one of Windclan's very few trees.

Why, in StarClan's name, was she so full of energy? Usually, the most energy she had was put to getting up in the morning and actually doing something productive, like greeting an elder with a forced smile. This however, was unbridled energy and it was making it very hard for her sit still, or even think straight. To be honest, it kind of scared her a bit. Emberpaw wasn't a fan of change to say the least; anything that was out of the norm made her feel awkward. She disliked the feeling of being awkward, almost as much as she hated being confronted about her beliefs, or lack there of, in a bunch of dead cats in the sky.
Flicking her tail, she let her eyes wander around the camp, for no one in particular. As usual, her mentor was no where to be seen. Emberpaw felt a wave of disappointment erupt in her stomach at the thought of how little training she had been doing as of late. It was starting to make her nervous, something that she rarely felt towards these kind of things. A huge sigh escaped from her chest as she caught sight of the only cat who didn't look busy. Sauntering over to the she-cat, Emberpaw picked her words carefully. She wasn't exactly the friendliest cat in all of WindClan to say the least.
"Hi, Ambergaze. How are you?" Trying to keep the sarcasm, and cold out of her voice, Emberpaw sat herself down by the she-cats head, a decent distance away so that she would not be invading her personal space.

Ambergaze turned her heart-shaped head, blinking her almond shaped eyes. "Hello, Emberpaw. How are you?"the queen asked simply. She loved kits and apprentices, but didn't dote on them and was always calm. She smiled, yet didn't look crazily happy. She calmly flicked her tail, swaying the grass with its swing.

The she-cats whiskers twitched at the queens response. Emberpaw mentally rolled her eyes, while keeping a blank expression on her feminine features. Cats who disregarded blantent attempts at conversation annoyed the fur off the young apprentice. Ear flicking with annoyance, Emberpaw took in a deep breath and let her eyes float to the she-cat's tail swishing through the grass of WindClan camp. Another pang of annoyance flushed over the apprentice, but she hid it perfectly, as she always did. Trying to return the she-cats rather pitiful smile, the left side of her mouth turned up in a slight grin, though it did not show in her expressionless eyes.
Emberpaw was not well acquainted with Ambergaze. All she knew was that the queen wasn't the greatest warrior WindClan had. It got on her nerves to know that Ambergaze did nothing to better her skills as a warrior. For all they knew, their might be a time where every cats skills were needed, and what good would she be if that day came? Emberpaw's whiskers twitched as the wind kicked up sending a brisk chill down her spine, coaxing her body into a shiver. As the muscles in her lithe frame relaxed from the shiver, Emberpaw pursed her lips before answering the she-cat, no longer caring if she was being eloquent or not.
"I'm fine. And I would know how you were if you had answered my question."
A snort escaped from the young she-cat, and she looked back at Ambergaze. Emberpaw really had zero patience for cats today it seemed. Bummer. "How are you today, Ambergaze?" Emberpaw asked again, this time pronunciating her words very carefully. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]
