"Hello Viperstar." The ginger she-cat mewed. Finally, she might get to do some training! Rosepaw smiled at the praise of Stormfeather and Robinpaw. "Thank you." She said quietly. Now that she had helped him learn to hunt, now maybe she could learn some battle moves. "Can we train now Viperstar?"

"where is your mentor robinpaw?" stormfeather meowed curiosly.

Robinpaw flinched when the deputies harsh words came crashing down on him like daggers. The tone of the older toms voice was low and he knew he was angry. Where was Terncall? He stopped to think for just a moment. In fact he was unsure of where the she-cat was. She had been busy and therefore he certainly wouldn't blame her. He took in a deep breath and flicked his tail tip irritably. Robinpaw didn't like being talked to like that.

The ginger and white tom fluffed up his fur and looked the deputy in the eyes."Well...." he began. He honestly didn't know. He didn't want the she-cat to get in trouble. With a quick mind the tom carefully put together a fairly good story that he thought made sense.

"Terncall and I have been working on fighting for the past few days. She said with a war brewing, at least from what she senses. She said I deserved a rest. She went on a patrol this morning and she said she would pick up our training tomorrow with some hunting."

Curiosity seemed to nip at the deputy further as his blue eyes narrowed to study the apprentice. Was he lieing? The way he was acting almost seemed to be and the way he flinched when all Stormfeather asked was where his mentor was. He hadnt even said it in a mean or harsh tone but with simple curiosity considering it had looked like Rosepaw was training the tom only mOments before. "you do know that i make the patrols, right?" he meowed to Robinpaw. " and i cant seem to recall ever seeing Terncall"

The grey tabby warrior twitched his tail thinking back to that morning. Sure enough he couldnt remember seeing her on either the dawn patrol, or any hunting parties. " Also if she told you to rest shouldnt you be doing just that?" Stormfeather asked.

Robinpaw forgot who he was talking too. Stormfeather did organize all the patrols. Boy nothing got past this tom. Robinpaw thought for a moment longer. He learned how to stretch the truth. The Tom did tell him to rest but he simply didn't want to listen. Why would he admit that to his deputy? A warrior who didn't like to listen to what he or she was told? What use would they be to the clan if they couldn't listen. He twitched his ears and looked at Rosepaw for just a moment. He sat down and mewed a few things to himself before parting his jaws to speak again.

"he went on a boarder patrol cats don't need to be organized to patrol. They can patrol if they want. So he went on a patrol." the tom shrugged before letting his silver whiskers twitch."he did tell me to rest but he taught me this really cool battle move, and I couldn't do it the other day so I tried to practice it on that fern but the fern...broke under my weight. Well then Rosepaw came along and decided to show me how to hunt. Cats can learn from each other, not just from their mentors...."

Viperstar sighed and decided to settle the little argument between her deputy and the apprentice. She knew that Robinpaw wasn't being exactly truthful but no need to get Stormfeather involved. She'd speak to the apprentice on her own.

"Actually, Lichenthorn is on a special border patrol that I sent him on. With Newleaf here I needed a cat to check on the twoleg areas so I sent Lichenthorn." Viperstar informed the cats, speaking the truth "Now that we have that little mishap out of the way let's train. Oh, and you are absolutely right Robinpaw. Stormfeather, will you be joining this training session or will you go back to camp?"

Ears twitching Stormfeather sat back on his haunches, settling himself down. "Well i dont mind staying to watch. And if im needed i can most surely help out in any way possible. Of course, if you would like someone to make sure nothing goes haywire at camp I can go back, Viperstar"
